Depends on peoples access speed... I am sure the super-high-rez stuff would annoy those on dialup. Give a link with a high rez version perhaps?

A Good rule of thumb would be one that doesn't change the formatting of the page (i.e not bigger than the width of the page).

Also I don't think people will be printing these off so quite small will be great. If you must have huge files post them as a link rather than an imbeded picture. The Lady-boy pictures that laz posted are good quality and big enough for their purpose.
