You can't really compare a stealther to a tank. And it is getting determination and it has selfbuffs .

Well the biggest reason to spec darkness as a SM is too own solo aint it?
for grouping Supp is by far the best spec?

Only reason darkness sms are so strong solo is because of their intercepting pet combined with ability to moc lifedrain, take intercept pet away and sure you will be a gimped version of a sorc, but most classes usually have few not so good speclines and supp is still kinda good compared to a icewizz aint it.

lol, if Clerics had all the tools Healer's have they'd scream. Primary Healer - Primary Buffer And Primary CC class! Lol, Healer's don't have enough spec points as it is, I dread to think how bad it would be for Clerics if they have to split those limited points between 3 lines!

Yeh, we have base dd and spec dd in smite line, seems Mythic forgot when reduced spec smite casting time from 4 to 3 that smite specced clerics actually have only 1 spell in base line. (Yeh, I know it's not really related with your thread, but whining about gimpness of smite is my favourite topic )

Sorc is Albions main CC, so you are indeed comparing it to main cc....

Yes, a sorc whit permanent pet, 3 debuffs ,pbaoe mezz and espec lifedrain 189 delve 90%!!! return, and the chose to espec a secondary line whit pbaoe whit a damage you can debuff yourself, just like a sorc yeah....

Sorc pet is also permanent... not like it expires after 10 mins after charm. Sorcs get lvl 50 baseline lifedrain 179dmg (BTW sm spec lifedrain is 183 not 189 i.e. mere 4 dmg more than baseline sorc one.)

If you're gonna have the last spec lifedrain and spec suppression you get the weak green pbaoe.
Debuff would be 30% singletarget. It really isnt practical to cast debuff on 8 ppl and hope they move into the hopefully other sm in grp that has specced supp spec. Trying to cast it to debuff ppl and hit them with your own green pbaoe is ridiculous.

its easy to roll out a list of a sorcerers abilities because granted they all look good on paper - most are useless in practical

i.e you say sorcs get baseline speed as well as saying they run demezz chant - they can only rin one at a time

Sorc pets arnt permanent - in fact a body sorc can only get a Maximum green con pet - lower than chanters, SM's and Cabalists

i would trade sorc pets ANYDAY for a caba/sm/chanter pet - especially the SM which intercepts

throught your spec lines:

You get a lifedrain similar to sorcerers, you get the same debuffs, you get access to the strongest pbaoe in game, you dont have to face savages, your not the realms primary CC class

Yes the sorcerer is a strong caster - but overpowered? no.
