BA vs Supp BD (PvE)

Was wondering what spec will help me lvl the fastest way, i already leveled a 46 BD on camlann with pure SUpp spec but thats kinda diffrent.

When playing on a regular server without any kind of buffbot or grps i'd like to know if Bonearmy is any good or if it will bring downtime.

I'd go something like 18supp nomatter what to get the healer pet ( dont like to spend power healing the damn BA pets ) and then rest on bonearmy.

Never the less ill be BA spec at 50 tho but i can always respec if it sux to level with.

I always heard it was easier to lvl full supp. Never done either though so just ignore me

i did a BA Bd for thid...and from 20-24 it was the easiest 4 lvls ive done....i was chaining oranges/reds....with hardly any downtime at all

Only thing that stopped me taking it all way to 50...was the lack of dmg ability in rvr...u have to rely on ur dots too much and the pets....but i would say for PvE BA is way to go...but also heard supp is good too....but saying that i saw suppp BD in vendo caverns other day....the healer pet got aggro....commander couldnt take it off him...so healer pet was running all over the place bringing more aggro...and eventually the BD died to 7 oranges

With Ba spec..using the commander and the tank pet...aggro is contained...and they hardly need healing...i found if u used the 2handed tank and the normal S/S commander...they could rip apart oranges/reds fairly easy

I have a BA specced BDer, BA50 supp18 and 9dark. I have very little downtime as long and dont over pull. For farming cash it is very good. I stick to yellow/oranges as can pull 2/3 at a time and using aoedot and another dot to stack mobs drop pretty fast. For PvE I use BC soldier and 2 healers, the BC and soldier always get aggro and hold well cause of the damage add they get from BA. Now the only prob is this spec is not very good RvR, but this does not really worry me as i use it to farm cash.

As a supp BD you're meant to be tanking the mobs not your commander. You can let him tank and the healer heal but only if you're sure he'll get and hold aggro. You've got to be ready to lifetap the mob the instant you see it going for the healer when your inside a dungeon or around aggro that way you'll pull the mob to you.

I leveled 20-40 BA and 40-50 supp. I have to say supp felt slower/mob but was far easier to play once I got the hang of it. Now at level 50 I wouldn't spec out of suppression, bone army simply hasnt' got anything that I want since I'm Supp/BA spec'd.. if they increased the dot damage I would but right now that AOE is a joke for the points you invest to get it.

Up to 40 go BA, then switch to Supp. Basically for supp end game spec.

When going up on BA, go up on supp a little so you can get the 1st healer. Then carry on with BA. That way you commander can tank and healer keeps him alive, you don't have to waste any power healing your commander. When you get to 3 pets you go commander, another fighter, healer.

Obviously without a buffbot, it does make a difference, since your absorb on your commander is very low, which means your pet takes more damage and thus requires more healing.

When using your commander. Use dots, since there damage is over time and less likely to get you agro.

Always make sure you have the correct staff for your level, optimise your power usage.

Remember the type of weapon your commander uses is important, it effects the damage. When you are 20 - 24, make sure you go and get MCL.

I wasn't just telling you, the point is you posted on there stuff about someone who obviously didn't have a clue to play the class. The original poster is asking for advice. I don't want Living to think Supp BD are shit because we all know it's the opposite. For thid there's few classes that come close and leveling they're easy to play if a little slow
