posting thistoaskthose who bothered to playin the lower lvl battlegrounds what they thoughtof it.

i myself thought it was brilliant and when more people start comming im sure it will be even better , it's good lower lvls who dont intend on lvl up into the high 40 to be able to goto a area where they can find and fight people within a reasonable distance to there lvl . to night i ONLY saw yellows and blues and the odd orange cos my char is 28 "20-29bg" no red and no prups which for me is a blessing ,

one thing i hope that does change though is the realm point limit . i personally6 dont give 2 shits about realm points "although they are a nice trophy of your kills" . i would like to see mythic/Goa keepo the lvl restrictions and do it so we DONT get rp's or bp's . maybe sumin like a kill counter . every person we kill it clicks up one . that imo would be awesome so we can actually see how well/bad we are doing instead of farming the rps all day . but let us stay in those particuler battlegrounds if we want to. for as log as we want because after all not everybody has the time/patioence to get to lvl 40+ which is the only viable lvl in rvr these days and even then high 40's at that .


i really hope to see more folks in the 20-24 and 25-29 bg's tomorow . and then we can have some good fun ,,

if anybody else participated in the bg battles tonight please post your opinions as to what your thought to it are...

Had some good fun at the 30-35 today too
everyone yellow/blue = nice
also having keeps where the guards are dumbed down versions, (yellow -> red con to me @ level 35) is cool.

in my opinion this game should never have been allowed to go be released without battlegrounds ...

Yes was most fun taking my level 20 NS out.

/victory Merry (orange con minstrel) which was a great 1v1, went down to last hit and I won
Also 1 hit took out an orange con caster and stayed stealthed.....thought that was fixed in 1.48?

Oh well played all that was on this evening on the 20-24 Bgs.

Damn Albs got the keep tho, but not for long !!!!!!!!

bg rock, just did a keepraid one the lvl 30-35 one, we got 2rams inplace and got down both doors, took us 4hours, but then again we were only 5, 8 at maximum, also ran over some hibs and mids. too bad we didnt make the charge into the lords room :'(

Damn good fun Played the 20-24 BG all evening DAOC just got better imo

Don't know what the limit is in each BG - read somewher it was 100 RP, got 58 this evening so the fun might be short lived...

You didn't take the keep because:

a) You were all too dumb and went above the Lord. (very funny, IMO)
b) Only 7-8 of you, not enough for guard/Lord smacking.
c) You never bothered searching for the shadowblades around you.
d) You belong to albion.

Ps: good thing u had rams in place for the second door tho, took you 4 hours to smack the first. You were closely watched anyway.

its not 100 rp's coz that would be just way to short. its 100 kills. so you can kill 100 people in that BG before you have to lvl up and move on to the next one. still abit low imo.

No, I can say the limit for staying at the battlegrounds is realm rank 1L9 just before u get a new realm rank, then u have to go out in regular RvR to gain anymore realm points

You get 1 RP for each and every kill you or your group gets - hence the 58 RP was 58 kills, at least thats what seemed to be the case. So yes, 2 or 3 evenings of intensive fun in each BG and its over

I've heard (not sure) that the limit for the 20-24 BG's is R1L4 (once you hit that, you cant enter the first BG's)...

Oohwell, I had GREAT fun in the BG's yesterday... Felt like being 50 (I'm 24, so only yellows + blue's)...

Did some stupid stuff there, the wizards at the Hib PK have a weird range... Sometimes we got really close and they didnt shoot, other times I was 'far' away and got shot...

We had one guy in party, just one, sniped by the Hib TK ranger guards. Either it's seriously bugged, or the code has some anti-camp random functions. Kills one from time to time to get the message through.

So far though (can someone confirm this?) I havent been able to pull the guards with my Ice & Earth pets...

They killed the pets, but not me... Whoohoo (lol)...

ive heard a lot of folks complain about the amount of lower lvls in emain and pulling guards . giving away army position . or the general stupid stuff a lot of folks blame on lower lvls .

now a lot of them are going to battlegrounds you start complaining . how can you say rvr is gimped ? just look at your realm points.

as i stated in another thread i had more fun in 5 hrs of bg's than i did in 3 months of emain . you saying lower lvls cant have fun in rvr because there will be no more grays to gank and you will have to risk fighting more dangerous enemys, sounds like it to me ,.

Last time I went to emain was with my sb at lvl32, got shot for 957dmg by a lvl50 scout. Now tell me where the fun is in that?
Not surprising RvR is gimped as you say it is.

The problem lies with the game being mostly level dependant. The BG's are the perfect place for those who havent the time or inclination to get a character upto a point where you can survive for more than 10secs. Its actually renewed my interest in DaoC, the RP limit is crap though, and needs to be removed. Personally I'd like to see a BG for 36-40 as well.

Like I said, there are alot of people who havent got the time to gain the levels for emain. They arent wanted by the higher levels in emain anyway, and most certainly not wanted on keep/relic raids. Alot of people are leaving the game because of this.
Why deny the casual players the fun of PvP, which is what this game is about..Fun.

Yes, why not 36-40. I'm missin all the fun. My main is too high and my alts r too low. Dammit!

At 37 i still get ganked each and every time i go rvr by some lvl 45+. Half the time i don't even last longer than 2 hits (one for bt).

The battle grounds for the lower lvls just means there are even less people going to be out there that i can actually hurt. <sigh>
I guess i'll just have to keep my eyes peeled for those elusive kobold casters.

What does that actually have to do what Morsan said? There are lots of level 47-50 people who will just go to the low level BG's with their wannabe l337 infils/scouts/minstrels instead of playing with their level 50 mains (EVEN if they are "RvR viable" chars) = people are either forced to make alts and abandon their mains, or quit because of boredom. (Personally I'm starting an alt somewhere next week, and wont be playing my ranger in a while I think )

I would rather play a high lvl char than a lvl 24, classes are more defined and are more balanced imo, but emain is lame, milegates and long narrow paths suck so bad its indescribable and that leads to zerg fest hell which is fun for about 2 weeks. The battlegrounds are well designed imo and a much more fun enviroment for rvr.

Well I had alot of fun with my 23 smurf skald in bg today more than I have with my 43 shaman in emain. But then again shamans are a different story

I think we maybe talking at cross-purposes.
Your talking about people with high level mains rolling alts to use in bg's and therefore leaving emain.
I'm talking about the people who mains are under lvl35, who you dont see in emain anyway.

You said that the BG's were bad because all the higher lvl people started alts to fight in them, and from that I assume you don't want the BG's. Removing BG's would lead to removing RvR from lower leveled people while the higher leveled people can still do RvR when the BG's are in. It's a matter of mentality I guess.

I've got nothing against people under level 40 doing RvR in BG's, but when level 47+ people abandon their mains to play alts in BG's = less high level RvR (and it isnt excactly good as it is) = boredom
