AVG may be evil

If you have avg 8 the free one watch out, it picked up my vista crack lol, i restored it and everything seems to be ok, but watch out for the files it removes.

Most likely your vista crack IS a virus.... Virus writers have been using cracks to distribute viruses for ages.

If I were you i'd check what virus it thinks it is and look into it. Hope you havent made any online purchases on that pc.

It's never previously picked up the file till I upgraded to AVG 8, thought I would mention it.

Maybe the crack generated a virus file all of a sudden, I will have to google that. PC works fine and have not noticed any "strange" goings on. also have not bought anything so should be ok.

That might just mean that the previous versions of AVG weren't up to date enough to recognise the virus in the crack, where as AVG will no doubt contain newer lists which could include whatever is in your vista crack

Ahh all safe. MOst decent virus checkers ignore the file. It updates the registry but in a productive way hence why AVG goes a bit crazy
