The 'massive' cabalist influx was due to them being given a decent nuke to play with which made one of their spec viable, it just so happened Ilum had a cabalist already and enough RvR behind him to have little trouble finding people to fill a group etc. Hell, I respecced spirit within 10 minutes when servers got patched, sure as hell didn't wait for Ilum to show the obvious way.

I started RvR'ing with Bodyrot 1 month into ToA, the lvl 50 baseline body nuke was given in 1.65 or earlier afaik.

How can things get better if the majority of a servers rvr eager players move to another server/realm. sad sad sad.

The reason we embarked on this adventure was not because we could not "beat them", because we could, but because there simply wasn't enough of "them" around. When we left, the Prydwen RvR scene was rather evenly matched, but woefully small.

Im sorry for not having read all text on this thread, i do however play mid, cause i like the realm. I dont want to join the enemy myself, im sorry, but therefore i can have an opinion about what other ppl do.

I myself check out other realms chars by playing a bit on camlan, to see how the enemy chars behave against the pve and rvr envirionment, just like if nato took some warsaw pact armor in testing. Unlike other games i tend to be loyal to what i have been spending 3 years of achieving, and you blame me for that, ok that is your sake.

for me daoc is the following priority:

1. My realm Midgard
2. My guild
3. My own benefits.

but i see that many of my fellow players have the direct opposite approach to this game, sad to see but not much to do about it.

If there is not much to do on a server like on prydwen now, why on earth did the exile mids not do like the hibs are doing now in their absence, have as many relics and as many keeps as possible, getting as many bonuses. Remember one thing, 1 fg against 1 fg looks like CS, here we talk about 3 realms / countries at war, and you only win the war if you get the enemy to capitulate by taking ALL his takeble landmarks..... NOT only by earning RP, which is a side bonus to it all..............

ups i guess a lot will disagree but well that was just a little burp.

Actually the exile Mids and some that are still here took our keeps almost every single day unless they already had them. They held the relics for ages, all during a period where some people see it as the golden age of rvr on the server. There was some good rvr, but there was also nights of not even reaching emain after trying for 3-4 hours. They then zerged the heck out of emain and the people you see now that camp "whiner" bridge are probably alts of those dudes that camped AMG.

Sad that SC are leaving, thought they were a good group, well thought out ML and abilities and tough.

Hopefully the rest of the group will return in future, once they have sorted out their characters on Avalon. It doesn't hurt to have a back up server for RVR, just in case.

Yes that was the idea with Avalon. Having a nice alternative to rvr on other than just Prydwen which can seem very unstable. Im sure we gonna be back around Catacombs for some spins to see how its like by then. For now though we play Avalon almost exclusively - dinged our first 5 lvl 50's yesterday Strong 3 ani's, warden and bb. More bb's and chanters coming and then of course our mains. Gonna be fun getting ToA stuff with 3-4 ani's + bb's/chanters as backup

Well, taking a break from the main server can help to cure burnouts. Even if sometimes it makes you ponder ... the rvr weekend in Avalon was busy, all armies raiding, non stop frontier spam with towers and keeps falling, relics moving. I wasn't in frontier, my mentalist is just too young for the big boy thing, but it reminded me how fun it was in Prydwen when people actually fought, instead of daring only 99% sure win fights, running from defended towers while nigth pve'ing keeps and yelling for adds left and right.

I went back to Prydwen for the evening, it was a great evening in my home server, I must be sincere - but I know it won't last, hence the alternative server. The morning news just confirmed it
