Has something changed in the game that I dont know about concerning aurulite? (on cluster server this is)
Aurulite was only worth like 5-15s per chip in terms on salvage value or whatever when it first appeared now I see in housing that people are trying to sell this stuff for 2g+ per chip.
Something going on here I dont know about or whateh?

Is it actually viable for money farming doing that then? - I heard that the salvage values from the stuff when you buy the drops from the merchants aint too great?

i heard that salvage value for aurulite = around 25 silver a peice thats buying the top tier stuff and salvaging it.

personally your better off just selling it and then buying materials although folks that think they can sell it for 1gp each have another thing coming :p

arulite is great for equiping lowbie chars - on glastonbury i can see it being more important on that server, with people paying well over the odds for the stuff until enough enconomy builds up.

Prices for aurulite are pretty disgusting these days, but hey its daoc , what do u expect from this community. I myself have allways sold it half price of the amount i sell <ie : 1000 for 500g> compared to the normal 1g a piece or whats coming to be 2g a piece nowadays. The problem is , when it sells off the market from the cheap stuff, people will allways look at the market value to compare prices and see what they shuld sell an item for. So the people look and see its 200g for 100 bits, and follow suit, which creates a vicious ongoing line of people selling for 2g a bit. All thx to the overgreed of some original person. There is one house on alb/excal in the 1000 numbers, i forget what house. Has 3 FULL pages of auru , in 200 chunks for 100g each, thats 3 pages full. After this guy had set that i noticed a massive increase in people selling for 2g a bit.

It really is pathetic , especially when u consider at lvl 45+ , one mob can drop 30 bits in one kill. Think of all the poor lowbies have dont have the cash or the time to buy a full set of 99% equip and sc it all :( . Auru makes lvling easier. Bring down teh prices noooooooooooooow !!

Bad business practice, though. Far rather price it cheaper and sell it, than price it high and have it sit around. Stuff is worth what people will pay for it, not what people charge.

Hence why I always undercut the market with anything I put up there (when I can be bothered to check the prices), and thus have it move fast.

It's been ages since I last went to DF now so I kinda forgot how fast you can make cash there.

What would be fastest nowadays, farming Aurulite in Deliah's Sanctuary or going to DF to farm seals?
And as for Aurulite, I usually go inside Deliah's Sanctuary with cabby, trispec, without BB. Would it be faster if I went in with BB (with harder mobs to kill) you reckon?

farming with my necro and bot means I have DI gubbins on stick and heal proc ofc so just run through a few rooms and collect all the mobs at once then splat them in one go. then move on to next few rooms and pull all them etc, makes for fast clearing. I know without my bot I would take me longer.

Sorry, crap reason.

Lowbies can level in the aurolite instances and actually earn all the aurolite for gear they need as they level without us having to sell it to them.
The people buying it in mass amounts are those wanting the cool looking armour, if they have to pay through the nose for it then that's fine, because the only difference is looks.
Prices remaining high, mean that people actually bother to farm it in the first place. Put a low price on it and you'd go to a market and see none for sale ever, which wouldn't help either.

Right and u do realise the drop rate on auru for lowbies ? not to mention the bugged dungeons <on alb at least > where mobs agro through walls and floors 2-4 at a time which no low lvl chars can deal with. And the fact most lowbies dont have good equip <which they could use auru to get> and so have a hard time vs the cats mobs in there as most have stupid parry and evade rates. And even the classic dungeons seem to make the original versions of the dungeon mobs actually have more hp and dmg then they do outside of the instance <i have tested this and its true>.

up with the lowbies! will sell all my stuff at even lower prices then :) recon it would be better to sell in smaller stacks of say 500 rather than in 1000? so that more people can afford it.

I agree with knight. +rep:clap:

in deliahs - the mobs are of higher level, and also you can farm the high priestess for some very nice items (choker of dispute?)

you can get to deliah in about 10-15 mins, get 500 arulite for your trouble, kill her, log, logback in - rinse and repeat - if ure pl'ing someone - u normally get 1 level for that part of the dungeon (level20ish), so you are gaining 3 or 4 things for your time:

xp for your pl'ee
arulite
nice drops from deliah
AND.... EOY XP which is insane - much faster than AC and far easier!

Holy crap i dun thinks mes ever gots a rep point beforz O_O

Prolly cos i normally post pointless crap xD

On Alb, both Lost wing and Delialah or however u spell it, normally got me about 1000 a trip. Problem is though i think i better warn some..

Lost wing boss - As a necro u have to actually DROP SHADE MODE to get it to agro u b4 u attack it, sprint half the dungeon till it gives up then go back for some reason. But it has a few nice drops.

Delialah - Necro pets here are in my experience useless , not sure if others had the same prob, but when she ports the pet wont actually attack her by itself, it gets stuck going across until ure next to her in shade mode, and by the time u lifetap she bloody ports >_< .

I do this with my necro np.

Basically, it's all to do with the attack distance. You have to be within melee range (you, not your pet) for you to attack it. Basically, just stick to deliahlah all the way through it, when she's about to port your pet will walk off to the area she's porting to - follow your pet, hit attack again and your pet will start attacking deliahlah. Theres only two places she ports to, so it's fairly easy.
