Starting to worry about the whole worldpass thing - really hope there is a way we can all start on the same server.
Will need a dedicated player to farm enough gil to buy the passes

We could just pick one before hand
and I heard the rumour of "random" server clicking NO to get a different server wasnt going to happen - hence getting a little worried

hate to rain on your parade but it doesnt work like that, once you create a char you are bound to a server...the only way you can change after that is via a world pass..
BUT world passes are cheap on the lesser populated servers and valid for 5 uses so it should be a simple matter for one person to pick one up and get 5 people in
...and then they can get anyone else in
