What do the coloured bricks do?

You get points for them, minimum of 3 of one type, every extra gives a multiplier.

Think of it as wipeout+tetris+winamp visualisations.

Looks like Rez with rock music. :p

Nonononononnoo.

Its whatever music you want.

Its a very pretty game. Try it with Equinoxe 5 if you have it :)

I'm missing the 'addictive' part of the game though, I don't quite find collecting blocks that much fun. Maybe I haven't quite gotten the point?

I do like watching it though. And for a fiver its a fucking bargain tbh, why can't there be more games like this?

Try Pro mono mode :)

The best there is imo. :)

That's fucking aweeeeeeesome. I don't think I'll bother playing much more than the demo but I'm buying it anyway because it's a very cool idea.

Been done a thousand times already, so it's only a fiver, doesn't make it original

FFS! Why did you have to tell me about this game? I've just spent the entire bloody evening playing it!

It's 1am and I have to go to work tomorrow.

BTW, Pro mono FTW. Any Propellerhead track. Or Rage Against The Machine - Killing In the Name Of. :)

There have been plenty of similar style games, but nothing like this before that incorporates music in such a strong way.

I guess you liked N-Sync when they were underground?

I quite liked it - really for a fiver, can't complain. Other than the daft annoying yank commentary it's good fun.

Quite liked playing it to my collection of Scott Brown happy hardcore and Prodigy :D

Anyone having performance issues on this? It doesn't seem to be running anywhere near as smooth as that youtube vid. I've got an 8800 and a core2 e6600 so I'd have thought that'd be enough to run it perfectly well. How's it running for you lot?

Running fine for me on a much lesser pc than that.

Looking at the Audio-surf forums it seems I'm not alone, the beta apparently ran very smooth but a number of people are having problems with the gold version. Seems to be mainly nvidia peeps too.

Fine here, e6600, 8800GT - very smooth indeed.

Googled around a bit myself and it seems many of those people mistaking the jumping for performance issues just don't realise it jumps to beats etc and is easily mistaken for juddering.

Lol - well, that ain't me :)

Turns out there's a bug linked to the XBCD homebrew xbox 1 controller drivers. I had my pad plugged in and it knocks the frame rate down to 15-25fps. With it unplugged I'm getting what appears to be 60-75

Anyone want to do a few challenges ? Like we name a particular song and post our personal bests on Pro mono?

Sure, but let's also just list songs that works very well with the game.

The Prodigy - Voodoo People is pretty damn good, Daft Punk - Around the World is a nice mellow ride and New Order - Confusion (the remix that was used in Blade) is fucking intense.

Ok I've had time to think, and what I think is that I think I want to have ECA's babies, because this game is superb.

I love playing Jean Michel Jarre tracks on it. Its perfect for it. Fourth Rendezvous is amazing.

Or just create an account - it'll upload your scores :)

I'm on there as nafe - add me as a friend and then we can see each others scores in the friends scoreboard :D
