Is there someway to add previously attached items to a thread? Had a look around and could only find "upload to"......if there is no way, could this perhaps be introduced? Its annoying having to a) upload it again or b) find where you posted it in the first place to link to it.

You can always look in your CP, where the option to manage attachments is located.

seems a very long winded approach to just insert an already uploaded picture into a post

Go to your attachments section in the CP, copy the link of the already uploaded item, and add it to your new post, like I've done.
