Drunk Swede tries to row home in a stolen dinghy.
78-year-old drunk Swede, who had no money for the ferry, tried Saturday morning to row across the Sound [Øresund] in a stolen dinghy.
During the trip, he was tired and had to sleep in the hope that the current would lead him safely to port.
Police received a notification on the dinghy, which floated about in the navigation channel in the Sound. In the dinghy, the police found the drunken Swede, who was sleeping.
The drunken navigator was transported back to Denmark and later sent on the ferry home to Sweden.
Owners of the dinghy will not press charges.
