Seen the 2nd vid already on national geographic! Excellent docu! And was just about to post the Tsar.. Insane how you can turn an idyllic landscape in a matter of miliseconds into pure inferno and a gateway to hell

It's fake Lamp. Still nicely done though. Search for some older clips for it.

Nukes - Ruining years of hippie work in one blow since 1940s :p

Love 'em.

Though i think Moab is a more impressive war engineering feat.

Holr crap!

Since 50 Mt is 2.1×1017 joules, the average power produced during the entire fission-fusion process, lasting around 39 nanoseconds, was about 5.4×1024 watts or 5.4 yottawatts (5.4 septillion watts). This is equivalent to approximately 1.4% of the power output of the Sun.[8]

Go find "Trinity and Beyond : The Atomic Bomb Movie".
It's narrated by William Shatner and covers all the main blasts from the Trinity test right through to Tsar Bomba.

The thing about Tsar Bomba is that it wasn't a weapon that could be used. It was so big that the bomber could be shot down way before it got near target. Multiple smaller warheads cause more damage.
