ATI graphics problems help!

Ok i downloaded the recent catalyst for ATI since ive done that ive been getting an error. On a few games the game just crashes for no reason what so ever then my monitor comes up with an error saying something about power black screen blue box with some numbers in.


any ideas what it could be?

im on a all in wonder radeon 8500dv (yes i know its old but it does its job well)


Im sure i downloaded the right drivers i mean i just followed the instructions on the ATI site asked for me my OS/radeon family thats it i guess?

If you are on XP, use system restore to back out the drivers. If you didnt need the new ones, then dont bother tbh.

The system restore that wipes everything off my computer ive installed?

bah this is weird i just installed me old driver and now battlefield vietnam wont even start

hm nope all the drivers are doing the same thing...

possable that your card "might" be over heating, i had this problem with my radeon 9800, and when i installed a Zalman heat sink i stoped getting errors
