ATI Driver Cleaner

hey all,

I am running the ATI Catalyst driver 8.1 (i think) and I get a problem in wow where it kicks me out of the game. This is the 2nd times its happened (occured 2 weeks back) and I fixed it by running the wow repair tool.

On the wow forums alot of people said to update my drivers. I have downloaded the ATI 8.7 drivers, however I want to make sure I do everything correct.

I know I have to uninstall the drivers, but then I want to run the driver cleaner before rebooting and installing the new drivers.

I heard of something called Driver Cleaner, but I also heard this was free (when i googled it you had to pay). Does anyone know a good ATI Driver Cleaner which is free?

p.s. i am on Vista ultimate 32bit and the gfx card is Radeon X1950Pro

Yeah, there's a couple of Driver Cleaners, the one from drivercleaner.net is indeed pay.

It's the Guru3D one you need:

Out of interest, do you know if the new 8.7 driver is any good?

I heard about them this morning and thought about posting a thread on here about them - but as yet only 3rd hand opinions.
The only thing that particularly interested me was compatibility with Ubuntu 8.04 which has been a thorn in ATI's side for a while and could well be useful for a few folks

Will keep an open eye, but so far general opinion seems to be good.
