And jolly nice Im sure they are too. However, on installing them this morning in a hungover state I couldnt for the life of me see where the vertical sync option has disappeared to, or the force refresh rates doobrie either. If any non-hungover person could tell me this Id be very grateful :)
Oh, and theres a nice hotkey thing in there now, could be useful :)

What I want to know is how to disable vSync. The option in the Control Centre doesn't do it.

:(

Right click desktop > Properties > Settings > Advanced > 3D > Open GL or Direct 3D > V-sync > Always off.

The new Cats are shite. Like 4.6 were. Fucks with Quake 2 and makes the FPS drop to about 100.

No dice Clowneh - the new Control Centre removes the old Control Panel, and has the option for vSync in there.

Nailed it anyway - it was temporal AA that forces vsync on, which makes sense when I think about it in hindsight.

Uninstalled the CCC anyway, it's a nice idea, but it still needs optimising, as it, and the system tray utility it installs take up to 40mb of my memory - that's aside from the usual 10mbs or so the driver utilities consume otherwise...

I also removed the catalyst control panel in the end, and used the old style one with no problems. Oddly enough though, Id say these drivers were one of the best for me, playing counter-strike BFV and a bit of AA .
