anyone know what the average running temp on one of these is? mine hits the 52c mark when playing daoc and was wondering if i have need to worry. thanks

Sounds like to upgrade cooler for your cpu, my 3200+ runs at 35-40c when daoc running. 2500+ should be as cold i think.

52 isnt realy that much.. no problems running like this.. you may need a casefan in the summer tho :)

AMD's easily hit 50+ degrees; nothing to worry about. Like Nadhia said: make sure you have enough cooling in the summer though.

My AMD Athlon Thunderbird runs at an average of 68°C and there has never been a single problem with it for about 2 years. It also makes my room hot and cosy so I don't need to use any radiators! xD

52 degrees is fine, but where are u taking the reading from out of interest?

Anything below 65 is fine for the barton

If your cpu is less than 50 degrees C when playing DAOC, then it's time to overclock :D

70 is the limit for the old Athlon chips - thats when mine started smoking :)

hehe wouldnt call a barton old :) (those temp ranges are for XP and MP cpu's)

my xp 2800 hits about 45 usually but ive got 2 case fans as well that i fitted, before that it easlly topper 55
