Exchange due for activation on 17th March 2004.

its normally "sorry sir, your lines coming up red, we can't order it for you"

i know, i heard it plenty of times

its even more fun when you get into an arguement with a 150 operator whos insistant on the fact that your house is not where you are saying it is, but is another 6 miles up the road

rules of thumb
when you phone up customer services, dont mention broadband.
when you are passed to BT Broadband, dont mention ISDN/HH
when you find yourself talking to a HH representative, dont mention broadband.
when you are talking to an HH support person, dont mention ISDN and Broadband in the same sentance.
when your back with BT Broadband, dont say you've been passed about, or you'll find yourself back with customer services on their complaint line, and dont mention broadband or ISDN or you'll find yourself talking to someone from the HH department, who will then pass you across to BT Broadband support, who will pass to complaints, who will pass it back to HH department complaints.

Took me over 5 years of trying and emails directly to the CEO of BT (very very nice chap) to finally get broadband so I share your pain guys.

I was on the BT ADSL trial in NW London, so one of first to get it in this country. 2mbit for 30 quid/month. It was nice.

Nice work, my wilderness also just got it about a month ago and now I can waste all my spare time on it! I went with Zen and ordered on their website, no annoying BT calls! and they did everything for me, even better
