Its always been like this imo. A favourite fact of mine is that "Eton Rifles" by The Jam was kept off the no 1 spot 20 years ago by.....

"Shadup your face" by Joe Dolce.

I don't actually dislike The Jam or Paul Weller, but this seems fair to me as Eton Rifles was actually a crap song.

Does anyone mind if I just point out that I FUCKING HATE the Manic Street Preachers, or 'The Manics' if you're a wanker.

They consistently churn out hollow, dull and bollocks songs time after time, usually repeating the same lines over and over for three-and-a-half minutes, set to a uninspiring score.

But what's most frustrating is they do all this with an air of such importance and majesty, as though people give a shit about what dirge they're whittering on about.

Makes me want to strangle that bloke until his eyes pop out while I scream 'WHY DO YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW TRULY SHIT YOU ARE, YOU FUCKING FUCKER?!'

btw. just had a great idea for a tv show: RockSluts. the goal is to wear leather, drink, use various mind-altering substances and have as much illicit, raunchy, hardstylee sexor with as many different people as you can while on camera [in camera so to speak] or off it.
You are not allowed to cause music to be made unless you wrote/thought of or stole it yourself and you are able to play at least one musical instrument. Extra points are scored for passing out while in the intimate company of two or more members of the opposite sex.
