well i was drunk so decided to play a bit this evening, and yes i did charge your group solo because all the wastes of bandwidth around me were to scared to.

The last few days have given me the excuse i need to quit, the game has gone a long way past fucked up now, Mythic have lost control utterly of the game, once it was fun and rewarding, now it is a grind.

PVE is no longer an option for me, after leveling 5 chars to 50 with a total of only 10 levels of them at fins PL groups, it has got very stale, i have got everything i need or want for my hero so there is nothing more to aim for.
RvR which used to be great is now...well you know what its like...

Over the last 2 and a half years i have made some amazing friends and had a lot of fun, and want to remember the good times. Exping in TC, CM, EZ and cursed forest the "proper" way, before FS and before animists were even conceived, to our 1st keep take as a guild, one of the proudest moments of my daoc life. I would like to thank everyone in PDC past and present for making it the best place to be

Ceap "the battle druid" ty for making me smile so much when you played, always funny and always coming up with good ideas.

Zeelee always nice to talk to and a fantastic bard..one of the best around.

Xaldrick i admire you for sticking with your champ through thick and thin, a really good friend.

Teiten one of the funniest people i have met in game, also one of the best bards around, even if he doesnt have mez on his QB

Oblimov always fun to talk to and you never took the game seriously, i hope you and nik have a good future together

Byssa a great friend and always keeping /gu busy, i will miss you little luwi

Ace i dont know how many chars you have got to 50, shit loads, always good to talk to you

Ardd and Skovhugger (god i hope i got that right ) only found out the other day you were rl brothers fun pair of guys.

I know i left loads of people out, you know who you are, all of you i will miss you.

if anyone would ask if i would do it again, definatly, the friends and experiances i have had in daoc will stay with me for the rest of my life, it has been well worth it and i dont regret any of it.

Raven - take my advice and uninstall daoc and use the cds as ashtrays or frisbees - dont login for any reason ever!

Bit off subject but just wanted to say this as I have finally broken my link to this game. I came back after the last time I quit but this time it feels totally different. Its like a weight has been lifted from me. This is an open forum so I wont go into detail but suffice it to say daoc has been a major factor in me fucking up some aspects of my life. I know many who manage it well but if you cant achieve a balance in life it can lead to a vicious circle of escapism.

It isn't an insult to people who still play to say that you personally are fed up of it. It was hard to leave because I was addicted and I have made friends in game. But if those people are really people you enjoy chatting to then there is msn or irc for that purpose.

For people who made friends in daoc it is very hard to leave but my advice to anyone who has doubts about the role daoc plays in your life is to uninstall it, sort out any loose ends you have in life, and wait till Jan/Feb and play WoW.

Cya rav m8 - so many funny times we've had, from cm/ez/marfach traditional xp, epics in cursed forrest, fs abusing in galladoria to rvrsessions (of whom I liked the one in hadrians when we killed 2 fg albs with brack afk most ) and the funny discussions when crafting (club versus pub to name one).
