Assualt/siege/chateau Vs Dual Duster

I heard a lot of bad things said about BW 12 recently. Mainly the fact the only 20 player server has 3 shite maps on it. All be it they are probably not the bast maps CS has to offer but I play on it any time I play CS and nearly everyone knows each other. So abuse is rare and most comments made are taken with a pinch of salt.

This, for me, is what CS is about. Fun ffs. Hardly any abuse and minimal use of the word noob.

Then, for the first time in ages I joined the Dual Duster and instantly remembered why I dontplay there anymore. within 5 seconds of playing, myself and another teammate got hilariaously stuck face to face and subsequently died :). I thought it was funny, but he decided that he was gonna give me the most abuse hes ever given any1 in his life
(noob seemed to be his favourite word next to fuck). The guy was a complete tosser. .L. knows who he is ;)

This is not to mention the blatant haxing that was goin on (not by the tosser mind you)

SO whats better?

Good maps full of tossers and cheats (I realise my contradiction with the latter)

Or not so fun maps with decent people and good banter?

Your thoughts on this matter would be welcome :)

you just joined the Dual duster and complained of them blatently using cheats?

For one the dual duster is very popular with a lot of very very good players,

so what haxs were they using then? if they were so blatent, did you report/demo them?

gah, makes me mad sometimes, silly rash comments like that :(

I was going to say that the best games are played when you know at least some of the people playing. I had a good game when Jobbie and Embattle were on the same server.

If you join a server you have never played before, remember that many of the peeps are perhaps regulars.

Take you time and get to know them - when you have folk that know you on the map, and smoeone starts laying into you, then they (more often than not) will step in and back you up

I have to admit that some of the best games Ive played have been with a few peeps I know Laz, Throd, Dolls etc. Always makes the fact that my score is complete arse easier to accept when your having a good laugh doing it.

Plus, on the odd occation that I kill someone, its satisfying to see that its occasionally Jack_Shitte. :p

True, it always brings the best or worse out when your against people you know, just make sure your at your best when your on the opposite team to Jobbie etc :p

.. I appreciate that very good players use the dual duster. AS do many of my friends who are also very good. But some of these guys weren't and they were demo'd.

And I only mentioned cheating on this forum ... I never EVER accuse someone of cheating during a game. So it wasnt' a rash comment.. maybe slightly misplaced but NOT rash.


I also appreciate that you get called a cheat sometimes as I've seen you play. But dont get mad at me for starting a conversation m8. Like I say I kept quiet and demod them...

the dual duster is good half the time, the other half it has dust running.

the 20man server has poor maps but its always pretty busy, so whats better, empty servers with a map list you like, or full servers with maps that may be considered less popular.

as for the original post about some abusive twonk, thats why god (possibly not god) wrote Mute into cs.

no more voice-com spam, no more spam in general.


and if u want a real quiet game, just mute everyone.

Some of the guys on the Dual Duster are from some pretty damn good CPL attending clans, they are way above your standard and thus you probably think they are cheating. I mean half the BWAdmins have banned them at one time or another so they obviously look like their cheating, or the admins are stupid :p

I know they have been guilty of voice comms on pubs before but they do not do that anymore as I've constantly warned them against it :)

Its a fact that good players play on Dual Duster, when good players die, they get pissed off because they think they are better than anyone in the server, when this happens they start abusing people and calling them "newbs"/"noobs".....

Its a shame they do but most of us have done it once in a while, if your killed by a lesser skilled person due to a fluke of CS then your naturally going to be annoyed and the first word that most people think of is noob :p

BW12 is a disgrace and should be removed, and when Zappeh finally appears online (who knows when that will be) I will attempt to sort the BW mapcycle once and for all.

Its been to shit for to long, its got better with the "Popular" server additions, but then militia/assault/italy/chateau/havana were added to them.... :(

And as before I mentioned the cheats....

Gianni? any1? not a good player and nabbed cheating a few times while I've played.

Vulgey and danger-mouse?...Aye....good players me thinks not.

So I am perfectly within my right to get pissed off with these guys.

And were back to this good player nonsense!

Is a good player someone with good aim? and only out for kills?

granted .. on public servers this is mostly the type of player you see As a lot of them aren't in clans...probably coz they have a life ;)...but it doesn't technically make you a good player.

Actually the first few words out of my mouth contain many vulgar irregularities (containing, but not excluding, Fuck, shit, bastard, and wench) but i never use the word noob.

mind, when you've played QW, everybody's a noob from Q2 onwards :p

It mostly is legendario, or an error of CS.

ie. bullets not hurting people, or bullets doing to much damage, or bullets missing but hitting anyway.... etc.

Yeh ... If I was actually 25 stone, my recommended height would be 11 foot 5 and a half inches.
