Personally, I find this game to be one of the best I've played so far this year.

The only thing I feel can manage to beat it would be Mass Effect, but I'm afraid I'll be broke by the 23rd due to the massive launching of great games lately.

What do you folks (who actually owns it) think of the game after a day of testing?

money i guess - most people have both so if they can sell a copy to a console owner and a PC owner in 8 months, they'll be thrilled by the $

Going to buy it tomorrow on 360 FFS PC release date next year is such a load of shit.

I read a short review which highlighted the player character having an American accent <places Bee in bonnet> they go all the way of creating a realistic Crusade Era'esque feeling, yet when it came to choosing accents they had to go with American..which didn't even exist in that time!?!? RAAAARRR!!!! <removes Bee>

Played it alot in the last couple of days, it is good but far too repetitive for my liking. Graphically it is beautiful though and the animations are superbly done.

I would give it 85% or so but it will never be considered a classic because the gameplay doesn't warrant that kind of accolade. I tell you what though, if they can make God of War 3 look this good we are all in for a real treat in 2009.

There is a reason for the American accent and it fits the storyline, I shall say no more because I don't want to spoil the begining of the game for anyone.

Personally I really enjoyed playing it, however I was slightly disappointed with the ending, and the combat system can seem abit boring (basicly you can go throughout the game using just one button in a fight).

The storyline is fairly decent and interesting and when me and my mates were racing each other to complete it we all kept coming to different conclusions.

My favorite quote has to be "my blade is my eyesight, it pierces through the darkness." :D:D

Visually it's superb, the gameplay is very good initially but after an hour or two of play you've practically done everything there is to do, it's just a case of doing it in a different place.

I don't like the storyline personally, i think they should've set it entirely in a medieval background, none of this travel back in time shite, wasn't needed.

I heard people found it repetitive, however I enjoy the way it's built up. I love just climbing around finding flags, and doing research and such.

As for the combat system, it's amazing. I never go tired of countering attacks in combat, even if it might be "repetitive" :)

Because they don´t want PC copies to disturb their sales. People would copy/playtest it and then maybe decide to not buy it for the XBox. Get used to it, this will be the usual way of releasing games in the future.

Even though the woman who made/created/advertises it is a hottie

She´s the producer...she didn´t make/create the game. And considering all the "OMG A WOMAN IN TEH BIZ !!!!1" hype we´ve seen int he past couple of months, I`m not even sure she´s the "real" producer.

i think it's fantastic. no, it doesn't live up to all it's promise but it's really refreshing to play something that feels genuinely different to squad-based big man shooter 57 (though i did enjoy cod4 a lot, this is a fairly fecescious remark).

essentially i'd agree with what cho said, it's a solid 80/85% game, but no classic. well worth buying but i think once i've completed it and my girlfriend has played i will trade it in for mass effect.

You both wanted George Bush to be the face behind the game...go on, admit it!

No wonder there's not that many girls in the gaming industry. People don't belive them when they say they work at a game company :p
