Hard to believe that even our overpaid, underachieving football stars can be truly this stupid. But, sadly, it is true. Willing to go on 'strike' and decline to represent their country just because one of their friends broke the rules and failed to take a drugs test.

The Football Association should send the whole lot home and withdraw from the competition. With all the bad publicity that Premiership footballers are getting at the moment you would imagine they would want to keep their noses clean ... but no.

This is just the kind of event that could break the football 'bubble' in England, which would backfire nicely on these primadonnas.

Funny how it makes you ashamed to be English when England players refuse to play football....
What about that poor girl that was raped by premiership football players?
Quite frankly I couldn't give a fuck if footballers chose not to represent their country..that's their choice.. but the other incident should make anyone ashamed to be English.

There is a world of difference between alleged rape and proven rape. Personally I'm disturbed that people have all the morals of alley cats ... but that isn't restricted by nationalities. According to various internet sources some of the people involved in the "gang rape" were not english.

Don't know about you but a rape case that hasn't even been proved yet does not make me ashamed to be English. Rape happens everywhere, just because it is comitted by footballers it doesn't make it any different.

Makes me kinda ashamed to be English when girls accuse footballers of raping them just to get some kind of publicity :( sickening.

Their names won't be out till after the cases get thrown out but they'll still make some money out of it and that makes them completely dispicable in my opinion.

Football, whether it be the players or the fans, is a constant source of shame for England. Why are you just coming to realise this now?

I read an news clipping somewhere which went something along the lines of, "If an alien civilization were to examine our planet what would they make of the fact that the most highly paid and respected people on this silly little rock are not the scientists who devote their lives to the pursuit of knowledge but school dropouts who chase a ball around a small pitch?". Makes ya think how fucked up society is. :p

i'm a big fan of footy(well england and tottenham)

in Rio's defence-
1- After missing the dope test he returned to Man United to get tested but the tester had left
2- He was tested 2 days later and was found to be negative
3- Drugs normaly remain in the body detectable for sometimes months not 2 days so he had nothing to hide
4- Rio should have been suspended the day he failed to turn up not after right before an england match(Bad biased French bastards FA)


In Englands defence-
1- there captain is David beckham, he has the IQ of a turnip,following this multi millionare idiot must tax anyone.
2- no proof that ALL of the team Said/thought this, probley just some twat from manchester united(yes a multimillionare twat bastard).



Oh btw i saw Bottom Live in Plymouth on monday :)

The most succesful managers have been Scottish in England in the last 15-20 years or so.

Kenny Dalglish, George Graham, Alex Ferguson.

David Moyes will be the next, or maybe Alex McGleish.
