I will be booking in for another tattoo cover-up soon. I want to keep the Japanese theme seeing as I have a big fuck off Jap dragon as my other tattoo.

The problems I have are that the tattoo being covered is green which may need to be covered with quite a bit of green and also it is central on my arm and about 7 inches long. The tattooist suggested a Koi as that will be the same sort of shape, I really don't like Koi tattoos though, every man and his dog is having them and I can see them being the new tribal.......which I really don't want. About the only Koi I would have would be something done by Yellow Blaze but they are in Japan so that won't ever happen.

So I am struggling here, I want to tell the artist to just use Japanese stuff while trying to avoid using a Koi but I have no idea what to go for.

So this is a chance for one of you to design me something that I will have on my arm for the rest of my life. It has to be Jap inspired and not a Koi. If you can't be arsed to draw then any links to cool Jap imagery would be appreciated.

Could i have a picture of the current tattoo?

I've designed a couple of tattoos before, so with a base, i could come up with something.

With a real photo it's also easier to see the end result(photoshopped a tattoo directly on my brothers arm for example).

The cover-up will probably be a 3/4 sleeve so there is a lot of skin to go at and all the detail doesn't *have* to be on the old one....if that makes sense.

More thought that the way the arms of the dragon go, you could have a geisha'ish female with breastesses hugging a dragonsword.

Can parts be recolored btw?

Like turn red to black, yellow, skin color etc?

Its diffficult, black will cover most and dark blue's will cover green and red's iirc but its finding a balance to it all where it gets difficult.

Oh man I saw him fight not long ago and I couldn't work out what his tattoo was meant to be it was only when the commentator said it was Johnny Cash I knew.

Absolutely the worst celeb tattoo I have ever seen.
