Artistic Benefit

Does anyone know somewhere that could benefit me artistically in USA?

I need to be able to justify why it would benefit me, if a theme is needed then space or under water is of relevence.

Natural History museum in New Yoik - got a floor dedicated to space travel type stuff and a huge Imax type thing about the creation of the planets and another about space travel - only seen the later - was brilliant. Have just been to NASA as went to Florida a few weeks back, NASA is really good, loads of information there on space travel ofc and even a full sized rocket you can walk underneath that was never used - one of the Saturn series I think (havent got me guide book n stuff in work and have slept a few times since then!!)

New Yoik though for artistic purposes also has the very boho-chic Soho district which is full of arty type stuff n people. Also they have the big ship moored in New Yoik - is it the Intrepid or something (will let someone else check) - big aircraft carrier that you can go on and its a museum as well I believe - havent got around to that one myself yet..
