Doesn't suprise me, he condoned Gallas kicking Nani last week as well. He condemned Nani for showboating but when Herny did it against Everton he defended his own player. The bloke is a walking douchebag, he opens his mouth and shit spews forth.

i dont understand what people expect. Do you want him to critisize his own players? of course he's gonna defend his players and slag others off he's thier manager, and 99.9% of managers will do the same. You just have to take what ever he says with a pince of salt

come off it Cho.

Like you expect any manager of any football club in the world to call one of his own players a spanner.

Hardly help team morale would it

Still, its a blatant double standard. Sure keep your mouth shut when your own player does it, but then don't be crying from the rooftops when something happens to your team.

He's infamous for selective viewing, he'll spot things like a hawk vs Arsenal, yet strangely not manage to see anything his own team do.

Lot of respect for him as a manager, but he's a tool at times.

Do some of you with these comments really believe Wenger is the only one Furguson dose the same thing defending blatand Ronaldo and Rooney dives and slagging of oponets who go down easy every manager has and will stay one sided. Your ignorant or stupid if you think Wenger is alone.

And while i think Gallas acted like a dick at least he showed abit of heart which i though as a ex Chel$ki player playing for us he did not have.

Oh i definitely don't think Wenger is alone on this one, like you say, Ferguson is as bad, but he'd have been better served not commenting on it rather than defending the behaviour.
As you said, Gallas was acting a dick, and whilst understandable, it shouldn't be condoned by the manager i don't think. Of course he does condemn it slightly with "People want committed people who never react and probably he should not have reacted." So i'll give him the credit for that. Simple fact is though, he's giving understanding to someone who is having a go at his team mates, that's not committed, that's harming team spirit.

As for his comments saying Gallas is under focus to avoid looking at the Taylor-Eduardo incident, exactly who does he think ISN'T talking about that?

Yet Fergi public stated he had words with Nani for his "showboating"... whereas Wenger would either be "nothing wrong with that, he had no choice" or "I didnt see nothing!" :p

BUt aye, all managers do it in some way or form, just in recent years Wenger has been by far the worst.

How does acting like a petulant fool make him have heart? As a captain he should set an example. Clichy knows he did wrong, hes a professional, Gallas should of been straight over to console him, not walk to the other end of the pitch whilst the penalty was being taken. What if there had been a rebound? Gallas showed extreme unprofessionalism, something he was renowned for at chelsea.

Heart doesnt come into it. The players who had heart were the ones who lined up and were ready to chase any rebound.

If the same scenario happened at Barca, Puyol sulked off to the other end of the pitch id be embarassed by it.
