As some of you know, my relationship ended a while ago! But we managed to be friends, and she always came to me, when she needed to talk, or something she had issues with(Mostly her own family).

But well, untill today! She logged on MSN and we talked about her been gone for awhile without saying anything, suddenly she says "My life is fit now, and I don't need you anymore!" then just loggs of!(She have gotten a new BF you see).

Seriously, I feel so yeah.... helpless. I want to do something really really really bad to her, but there is nothing I can do back, that I knows will hurt her in any way!(Without actually beating the crap out of her, but I don't hit girls!). I'm so freaking frustrated, and just have to get my anger out!

Chosen, exactly the same thing has happened to me just a couple of weeks ago. Perfect post-relationship conditions, daily phonecalls, doing things together, supporting each other. And then, her new partner appeared and everything has changed. It´s almost like a second split. It hurts, you´re feeling let down and everything.

But then, put yourself into her position. Her life has changed, she´s got new priorities now. It´s a new situation. She has to sort her life again and so do you. Just give her the time to arrange ecerything. After a while, she will realize that she´s missing something... or she doesn´t miss anything, in which case she´s not worth the hassle.

I admit that "I don´t need you anymore" is quite harsh. But that shouldn´t make you angry. Get over it, move on. It´s a matter of time, a couple weeks and you´ll be fine again. Doesn´t sound like much of a help, I know. But eventually, you will get the slope and be able to look back down on her.

"she'll promise you more then the garden of Edan,
Then carelessly cut you and laugh while your bleedin,
She'll bring out the best and the worste you can be,
Blame it all on yourself cause she's always a woman to me."

Think Billy Joel sums it up nicely.

Women are like cats, they like you so long as it suites them, and take what they need, and only offer back as much as they have to to get it.

And yeah, your not alone mate, i've been there myself.

Been in something similar myself so i feel your pain. Key is not to remain in any sort of relationship with someone that you still have more than friendly feelings for (and you obviously do since you react so strongly). To stay friends in the hope that you will get back together will just end in pain when she undoubtedly moves on.

If you break up then break up properly and stop seing each other, at least not until a good ammount of time has passed.

And ofc you should not "do anything" to her - she hurt you but you will bounce back, and if she "doesnt need you anymore" then its her loss right? Not worth wasting energy being angry or hurt (even though it can be hard not to, i know). Whatever you do dont try to contact her or check up on her etc, that wont help you and will only make things worse. If she wants to repair what she has done to you she needs to figure that out on her own.

EDIT: if you do need to let out some steam go to the gym and work out like a madman, or go for some hardcore running sessions etc. Anything sporty will help you.

That I agree with, you CANNOT stay friends with people you have had feelings for above and beyond friendship. It simply does not work, sure you can manage for awhile but sooner or later one of you will want to move on and thats when the feelings come back and the jealous rises.

If its over its over, no here or there, clean break is only real option.

I have already been at the gym now! All my muscles are like cramped up after the hard workout. But well, I don't have that strong feelings for her at all anymore, or so I thought, I didn't react at all the day I heard she had a new boyfriend. But still it feels so painfull getting tossed away, just because she doesnt need me anymore.

I'm not sure if this is because I still like her(Seriously I got no idea if I do), or if this is a way I wouldve had reacted no matter wich of my friends it were. But I feel so helpless, and I hate that feeling. Gah, I should get help, I'm probably somekinda controll freak

im with the guys who say let it go and move on and have a lovely life, however one word of advice i will give you if things do turn sour for her do not under any circumstances give her the time to ask for a shoulder to cry on let alone the actual shoulder.

you have to think of yourself and preserve your self respect man, if she can treat you this way shes tough enough to look after herself. I have great respect for people who can be friends with their x's but seeing as the guys ive broken up with were hideous swines i never had that situation my self. never ever let people treat you like this though and forgive them and it'll happen all over again and you kind of get diminished by it.

Chosen mate think on the bright side, if its not immeadiately visibly go look for one and you go make yourself happy, id start with chocolate milk and a donut tbh

If you love/loved her and dont wanna be cruel then dont do anything. If you wanna be cruel then say this next time she's online "Glad your lifes sorted out, means i dont have to put up with your endless whining anymore".

First off, everyone saying omg you cannot stay friends with a ex is talking bollocks. Yes in most cases using Ez as an example if your partner has been an absolute arse why would you want to?

My last g/f before I met my wife we were friends for 4 years before we had a 4 year relationship. We then broke up and we are still very close friends.

No we dont go to the cinema or out for a drink by ourselves, and I do still have feelings for her in a strange way, we were each others first love and I think that means alot. But we stay in touch and we have both moved on with our lives. She will talk to my wife and I will talk to her b/f when we see/pass each other.

So yes if your partner has been a shit to you forget about it. If you parted on better terms there is no reason why you cannot stay in touch and be happy for her when she moves on.

But seriously we have all been there and its kinda your own fault for jumping into friends with her. You should always have a month at least away from each other to sort your head out or else things like this happen

and i agree with what cal is saying too. One of my best mates is my ex, hell i even share a house with her and her new boyfriend with no bad feelings at all. But i waited 6 or so months before we could be friends again, was all too much for me when we first broke up
