Oh Snap!

Bye Piers!

The Daily Mirror published in good faith photographs which it absolutely believed were genuine images of British soldiers abusing an Iraqi prisoner.

However there is now sufficient evidence to suggest that these pictures are fakes and that the Daily Mirror has been the subject of a calculated and malicious hoax.

The Daily Mirror therefore apologises unreservedly for publishing the pictures and deeply regrets the reputational damage done to the QLR and the Army in Iraq.

The paper will continue to cooperate fully with the investigation.

The Board of Trinity Mirror has decided that it would be inappropriate for Piers Morgan to continue in his role as Editor of the Daily Mirror and he will therefore be stepping down with immediate effect.

Des Kelly, Deputy Editor, will assume the role of acting Editor.

Statement from the Daily MAil, maybe they'll become a serious paper now!!!1111

Fantastic, personally I would have thrown him in jail, but I guess it's a start.

I wonder when the monarchy will grow some balls and throw him in jail for printing propaganda against the state?

Actually, anyone who isn't anti-war, in a general sense, needs their head felt for bumps.

thing is most people associate, when someone says they are anti-war that they are anti war in any case (unless maybe their own country is under attack).
I dont believe that war itself will bring answers, but it is sometimes better to fight a war than not as if you win it does put you in a position to change the other country (atleast in a small matter).

Also if I remember correctly, amnesty has complained about normal American prisons aswell and maybe that of some european countries aswell. What happened in Iraq is to far over the line, but organisations like amnesty and possibly red cross do think that a prisoner possibly has more rights than goverments think they do.
Again not saying what the americans did was good, but it might be good to see what the british for one actually did before you convict what they have done, as in the end those people in prison have actually done something wrong.

The thing is he wanted to be sacked, he gets a fucking huge payoff now and is laughing all the way to the bank, which is why he didn't resign in the first place like any decent human would.....
