If u want a good group space as an arsman go pole :p

High damage is where u can compete against a pally.

Otherwise ur the same thing with no end chant.

If that armsman has a glowing pole then ofc you take that armman. 9 out of 10 times you die within 10 minutes in emain, so you can better do it in style. looks is everything :p

2h pally is useless.

choice depends on situation imo.

if u need dmg pick full pole/2h arms

if you need s/s pick pally...

need 1 pally for each group too so.

before 1,57 palas was the most unwanted class on emain...they were total crap...ROFl

is wayyyyyyy more good than a pala
can do more things than an endu chant
well it is best to have both in a grp pala give to the arms the endu chant
well in teh life you can't have everything

it is very good to have a serious tank sticking in the healer/druid butt and deal him some serious dmg than sticking on them and

anyway i always feel that armsmen are better from pala...cause most of teh pala know crap from rvr and they think that they are ubah with teh powerfull endu chant.....
pala is defencive .... pala's job is to stay near cleric/casters and slam everything that goes on them...well most pala think that it is better to charge in and hit for 90 dmg than protecting.....
a pala that knows his role is vital for teh grp yes
as it is an arms...

arms got determ , ip , purge
palas got FH,Purge
hmpf
if you mezz pala will stay mezzed for 40++secs
having a tank that stand still and watching the battle it is bad
if you mezz a high rank arms (with determ5) will stay mezzed for hmpffffff 20secs? close to that (can't recall the timer on my arms with determ4 and capped resists sorry)
which one can do more things?

ofc the FH it is life saver but....1 time on 30mins.....
this means that you will survive 1 battle out of 2-3 (if you run for fg vs fg skill battles..not noobo zergs)
when an arms can stick on a healers/caster <insert random caster class> and smack his face to the death..when a pala will stay mezzed and watch how good the fight is on the battles where his purge will be down....
well this is a long discussion sure....
you can't compine 2 DIFFERENT classes
palas and arms
pala is ONLY utility class (slam-endu chant-resist chants)
when an arms can be utility class (slam) or a killer (slam/pole)
so you can't generall say palas only no arms...cause it is up to the grp formation..if it need strong prot or prot/killing


ps. and rvr is nothin to do with duels...so noobo palas stfu about duels and this shit...rvr is fuckinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn different

rofl remind me never to invite a n00b like u into my groups. First of all Pallys were not as gimped as ppl tought before end chant they were even then one of the strongest 1on1 chars in the game and with end chant there is no doubt in my mind who is the king of duels ;>

When it comes to grouping every group MUST have a paladin that knows what he is doing. Best caster protecter we have and he also gives the group end chant heal chant thats = atleast 600 HP on every member of the group in long FG vs FG fights (when it counts) more AF and damage.

Also if you think your gimped armsman is any match for a paladin then feel free to challenge Farek to a duel and i assure you you would get SOOO owned.

Hmm I alwyas loved pallies in the group cuz they can rez.. no one has mentioned that i dont think.. If the clerics are elsewise occupied, the pally rezzes.. if the cleric dies the pally can rez..
Clerics mana in longer battles can really be tested, especially if they have to do rezzes as well... And a rez midbattle means you can get someone up who can help you win the fight and effectively add another person to your group...

For me its:
Pally Rez-> MCL/Power Potion->Mezz mezz mezz (or whatever it is you do best here)

If a cleric dies the pally can get that cleric rezzed and up and they can mcl for more heals...

Before their new utility of end chant, thats why i always liked having one or two in the group.


One of the nice things about tanks in rvr.. they never seem to have as much aggro on them as i do, so are ususlaly available to do a quick rez now and then :p
