Whats the two most used speccs for these classes?

Armsman

-Slash/Thrust? - Negative and positive effects?

-Go hybrid and spec 42 shield or leave that to the paladins?

-RA's to prioritate?

-Armsmens most viable spec?

Mincer

-Slash/Thrust - Ideas + Positive and negative effects?

-Cap stealth or not, necessary?

-Go 50 Instru - New DD next patch?

-Mincers most viable spec?

______________________________________________
Heard many spread ideas about this.

Discuss imo :)

Thanks In Advance.

Most common cookie cutter spec for mincer is 50 inst/30 slash/30 stealth. Gives you plenty of abilities in group, yet you can solo and work well in keep takes too. It's lots of fun.

There's also 50 instr/42(?) slash, which is a nice spec if all the want to do is group.

Slash is the way to go - unless you're taking thrust to 50 (fro dragonfang), it's not that great.

if you're going thrust you want at least 44... for the tranq--> wyvern combo ... you already have an insta stun so don't bother with DF imo

however you sacrifice quite a bit with this and would recommend the 50/30/30 spec if you solo or 50/43 ( 44 with autotrain) spec if you only group.

for armsmen ... thrust is generally on the better damage table... but you have to consider the styles that are going to be changed ... to be more group friendly... so check out which you prefer. you don't lose alot of damage for the hybrid spec, but it may distract you from your duty and the assist train doesnt always need the slam ( like a cleric with smite ).

minstrell till 1.65 and new dd

45 34 34 (35 35 if autotrain to 48) for low/starting rr
goodviable spec with good stealth + weapon
u wont miss much and in group they will barely notice the difference

or

45 39 30 (auto to 40) higer ws but lower stealth
more damage still good to solo...

after patch u can respec... :) and by that time u surely got some rr...

armsman id say... forget s/s spec max 2h or pole

then get slam rest in 1h and parry...

so ull have more viability... and then... fun

tbh when soloing the last ablabtive chant makes a very big diff !

and if the fight is long enough the lvl 50 ablabtive chant takes a unstyled hit from a SB :) every 6 seks :p

and more inst = higher DD dmg aswell that is a good thing aswell to note since about 25-30% if not more of our dmg is from the shouts.

that is just my experience

I´m currently

50 + 16 instruments
30 + 16 slash
30 + 16 stealth

and soloing is fun ..... before 16 CET when there is no SB zerg around :p

correct me if i'm wrong but i thought dd damage was based on charisma not instruments or + instruments. Hence why aug acuity increases charisma for a mincer and increases damage to DD's.
Alas i may be wrong and it may be both.

Why 30 in slash?
why not take stealth to 31 and let slash stay on 29... since it is on 29 u get the style...
Anything gained on 30 in slash? ( except a bit in damage for the +1^^)

my final will be 50/31/29 (slash ofc)

.

-Slash Positive:

Hurt's Druid's something Fierce.
Hurt's Warden's Also very Fierce :D

Wtfpwn's Savage's/SB's/Zerkers/hunter's - < last ppl u shud be hitting>

Easy avalilbe Weapons but with WC'ers doesnt matter.

Nice anytime Styles and with 1h you do optimal dmg. 100% str based etc

-Slash Negative:

Bards are Resistant, you hit like a paladin on them :0 < no offence pally's ;)>

Healers are resistant < There are usually 3 of them in a typical grp>

Shammy's are resistant < this little fecker needs to get killed fast 2>

Every man and his dog are Slash, gl getting sidi drops.

-Thrust Positive:

All of Hib is Neutral, no nasty armor's to worry about.

Healers are vunerable , They get pwnd fast basically :D

Shammy's same.

Usually Fast weapon's can be both good/bad

if 2h/Pole, not so many to grab the sidi weapons ;)

-Thrust Negative:

Poor damage on Savage's/ Zerkers < last ppl u shud be hitting>

if 1h, styles are poor in comparison to Slash.

-Getting 42 Shield, Hybrid.

Surprised you missed discussion before.

Use Slams as offense for arms anyway but with defensive utility etc, I say yes. You wont notice the damage but others say no. Testing damage your self then see if you notice/ can live with the difference imo ;)

-RA's to prioritate?

Det 4, Purge,Sb, PF, IP ----------- Det4 first then no order really.

-Armsmens most viable spec?

Traditional Spec:
50 Pole 50 Thrust/Slash/Crush 27 Parry 8 Shield

Hybrid Spec:
50 Pole 39 Thrust/Slash/Crush 42 Shield 6 Parry

Hybrid Double Damage Spec:
50 Pole 39 Thrust 39 Slash 16 Parry < best of both dmg type worlds>

Hybrid Double Damage with Slam*
50 Pole 30 Thrust 30 Slash 42 Shield <Not worked this spec out, cba to check if ther's enough Auto-train points to get the 42 in shield or if ur stranded on 38 :D > Somebody give me the exact amount of auto-train point's you can get max and I will tell if u can do it ;)

* Requires Very High Realm Rank, 8-9 :D AND auto-train :p

Last 1 is a pipe-dream just thrown in for good measure :D

well, not really much point getting dragonfang on a mincer either, as with evade 2 you won't get to use it that much, and mincers get an insta 9 sec stun anyway :)

my original spec was 50, 39, 18. i found that a good spec for grouping, and not bad solo. now respecced to 50 30 30 though, which is much better for keep takes and such

U need to autotrain both thrust and slash to lvl 48 for that spec and btw suggested by pin in a early post about hybrids arms :)

But else idd hybrid spec there most be a reason why all heros r hybrid spec :) and for minstrel 50 ins for last ablative, 31 stealth, 29 slash for amityst slash.
