Right, before I promise anyone I'll sell my AF 96 SC'd armor I need to know a few things.

The armor I have now is very good, +10 to all 5 important skills and all stats are very close to the cap and melee resists are pretty okay for now (22/16/16). This set is alot better than the epic armor, so I'm wondering if I can use this at level 50 until I have a proper set for level 50 + RR5. Is the effective AF of this AF96 set alot lower than epic armor? If so, are the better stats worth it? And would an AF buff cap my AF with this set?

Yes it is.. also has reverse procs which makes it better than epic.

Btw, my spec will be:

36 envenom
35 stealth
44 critical strike
41 piercing
14 celtic dual

Or maybe 1 point more pierce and 4 points less CD, but anyways, with epic armor this would leave me with 40 effective stealth where my SC'd set would give me 47 (RR3).

So I'd have to get +stealth items, and once I've finally compensated the crappy epic armor, I'd have to get items again for the final set!

i spoke with Niljindil about it lately. He thinks Vest and Pants as af102 and it will do fine since MP af96 are more easy to come by and you can have 35 IPs (5 overcharge) on them.


sure af102 is more desireable since u can get 37 IP out of them but the price difference is huge.

didn't have the time to put a NS SC set together since I lack a lot jewelry to put it together.

A nightshade needs AF 102 MP armor to have a half decent template as we have 5 very important skills to cap. Even with the best of the best armor and items it's still VERY hard!

Well, what laryssa and i concluded is that MP af 96 has more imbue points BASE *and* has the MP overcharge bonus allowing for some easy overcharging, and since legs and vest is the only places you get hit(65% of the time in those 2 areas) we concluded that having MP af 96 on arms head boots gloves is better than having it 99 qua 102.

Of course MP 102 is what anyone would want, but all in all, 100 qua af 96 > 99 qua af 102.

Edit: And of course, any tailor will be able to make af 96 parts really cheap, since they do that for armorcrafters making scale and are bound to get an MP every once in a while

The AF 96 SC armor is for PvE.. I only wanted some melee resists and stats/hits/skills. Who gives a damn about body resist in PvE? I didn't.

Just read my post: I need something until I have proper SC'd armor. The SC'd armor I have now has better stats, but maybe the higher AF of epic armor makes a big difference. That's what I wanted to know.

Well I'm not sure how u did this.... did u take your SC kit with items and purely swap over the armour and kept the old items? Because when u use epic armour u will probably use different items so u dont end with over 100% and 0% to some resists.

But personally I would keep the SC'd armour til 50, and then get a SC kit. But thats just me, I dont use any drop or epic armour/weapons on any char I have after lvl20 because SC'd is just so much better.

Although it wont be so great for a high RR in 1.61
