What the archaic right wing don't realise is that without a democratic government the monarchy would have collapsed, it was made because of the failures of the monarchy.
The current monarchy is nothing but a tourist attraction, a relic from the past which people come and oo and ahh at.

i'm 100% Scottish, whole family is scottish.

I live in London and have done for the past 8 years, dont think i will ever move back, that doesnt make me any less proud to be scottish i just dont believe in going backwards in life. Standard of living in london is better than scotland too, if a little crowded.

I am also very proud to be british i think we all should be, rather than squabble we should look at we have achieved as a united front. Britain is called Great for a reason, we have given the world so much and shaped it.

I pity my fellow scots who hate the English, most of them dont even know why they hate them, they would rather think about what The English tried to take from us than what we worked together to make. As a United Kingdom we managed to secure half of the world, the sun never sets on the British Empire

back on topic (sorry cerb lol heres yer charms back) its really interesting to see the general reaction here, tbh i expected most people to say they didnt really care tbh and the whole place is crap. The empire bashing was expected, and personally i dont really feel proud or ashamed of it, its something that happened and im buggered if im going to apologise/feel guilty for or take the credit for something which happened long long before i was even born.

well i mean i wouldnt say i was proud of it tbh, i like it. I mean England has some beautiful countryside and stuff but its not like i had anything to do with its development in anyway whatsoever so i mean, proud? (and to be frank, imo the country is in a bit of a state politically, economically and socially) so; well... right ok lets put it like this, if i was the countries mother and the country was a child i would be saying something like "son, you really need to buck your ideas up tbh or your going to turn out a bad'un"
