are mids that rude?

Been on mid/excal for around 18 months now (takin a break everynow and then to make it look like i have a life ) and in that time i have never had any real probs with the folks on this server. always been helpfull and nice to get on with , apart from the ocational 13 yr old tit who like to try fook things up for all , but every server has these. anyways i was on plyd/alb last night and got into a nice grp with some guildys, and eventually got on to the topic of alts on other servers. was quite surprised when we said we were from mid/excal that a few peeps said they tried it on here , but if you wernt swede then they were told to fook off !! now i have a LOT of swede friends on mid and i can honestly say i have never seen this attitude , but just wondering where the hell this came from. ofc we set them straight , but just wondering are things that bad on mid ,from other peeps exp.
And pls , i love my sweedish bros , so i am not flaming , okis

Quite a few rude ppl imo but i definately wouldnt say it was swedes. I dont think it comes down to race, im pretty sure its an age thing, all this givf/pwned speak instantly makes me think that im listening to a sub 15yr old.

I'm from Sweden... and I'm nice

Most of FoM is from Sweden.. and I if we have a group of 7 FoMs.. and for example a guy from England joins.. we talk english... and skip the Swedish.

There are rude, lame, obnoxious etc people on all servers and realms, can be english, can be dutch, can be anything... Its all part of the game, there will always be some twat being rude or whatever. Nothing to do with mids or swedes

I have played all 3 excal servers in depth and i have found that there are stark contrasts in how ppl treat u.

In alb u get a lot of spanish ppl who dont speak english and jst generally ignore u, (fair enuff i guess) but most ppl are nice, even the infi i played didnt generally get rejected from grps who'd rather have an armsman.

Mid was the 2nd realm i set up on and at 1st i noticed to rudeness at all, possibly since i had been playing camlann, but after the vendo lvls as a hunter i noticed many ppl ignoring me, being rude, not rezzing when they pass u, and little things like when asking for a grp they say "no" or "hunters are wank, we dont want any" i even had a guy say "this guy i h8 has a hunter so i never let hunters join my grps"......Lair is the worst place. The ppl not respnd to anything. On the rare occasion i get into lair i have dinged and no1 says grats or anything. Its quite appauling really. Also midgard has the Red Guard/Nolby Pride phenomenon that turns ppl into total c*unts (generally, there are some nolby+RG ppl that are v.nice blokes) However I totally disagree that scandinavians are the rude ppl, i can think if loads of sweedes and finns who are the nicest in the realm.

Going to Hib after Mid i was amazed when ppl i dont know come up and give u money, large guilds like CBH activly seek out newbies to help them, u get OFFERED pling and it is quite strange for a mid... I regularly get into grps when im 10-15 lvls lower than others and they dont complain. I suggest that all mids should try it if they get 2nd accs. Its a very nice place

Ive met loads ppl in this game, and yes some are twits(most prob 14 year olds full of testy juice ) but all the sweds i have met have been real nice peeps.


Im English and am sry to say that most twits i have met are English.

It must be an age thing i am Swede and none of my swedish friends are rude in anyway, actually havnt met many rude people in mid/exc very nice bunch of peeps,, /hug you all =)

though i did meet 1 rude annoying swedish guy but he was around 13 - 15 something.

Mids aint that bad, are always the twats and u seem to notice em faster than the kind people. If u wanna lvl from 20 to 50 u better have some friends with u cuz getting a grp from lvl 30+ can be quite hard, even as a healer with the shit loads of buffbots.


Lair havent always been this hell hole but mainly cuz all the twats dident get there as fast as the friendly people. And it seems like people out there thinks its impossible to lvl without pbae grps, want me to remind u about the days when we had NO end regen, NO pbae and not to mention NO realm abilites.

Hmm well the only thing i can agree on is the bad xp situation for 40+ mids otherwise i dont recognize any of that, i got plenty of help/advice when i first started, was a friendly place from start and havnt met a single lvl 50 yet that acts like the L337 and ignores lowbis. Res i havnt had any problem with either and Thor knows i have died plenty ^^

But yea the xp situation is bad for 40+, lair grp heh forget it if ur a tank, 90% of the time i get the no tanks today reply. But thats not really being rude i guess its not fair to expect them to gimp themselfs because of you.

I have had the exact opposite experience to you Luin, I played hib/prd for the first few months of my camelot life and left because of bad experiences with people there, all the fin4 crap and people seemed more interested in lvls and class than friendship, so i moved to mid/excal and I was really surprised by all the friendly people i met who helped me. I havent got to a lvl to experience the lair thingy yet, but I tend to stick with my guild m8s for lvling, and play the game for fun , so tend not to get wrapped up in the lvling grind.
As others have said tho, u get the twats everywhere u go.

dont get me wrong, i like midgard, and there are many grt ppl here. its jst, i have had many experiences, AS A ROUGUE, which may be an important thing. Im not sure, i havnt played alb in a while in those days Infis had jst got boosted for not being gd enuff, and a lvl 44 could roam emain without being 1 hitted by a NS buffed up to the armpits by his BB... maybe its jst that i have had some bad experiences....

Nah i cant say that i have had any bad experiences with mid in particular.

And if u were told to f00k off by some swedes, just ignore them.
They arent worthy of being listened too acting that way and are most certainly 10-15ish years old.

Midgard is without a doubt very Swede popular realm.
And some guilds like FoM are nordic and swedish speaking, and are overall really nice.

I have been mid from day 1, played alb prydwen a little got a 30 friar there. mostly soloed to 30.
and i found alb pryd kinda tragic i did not like it.
Due to baing "gimp" if one did not spec a way that is supposed to be ideal.
I wanted to be a strong fighter not as a support class.

Also Sweds and rest of the nords can speak english pretty well so there isnt much of a communication problem.

Have to say I've never really had a problem in Mid/Excal and I've played here since March 2002.

Also played Alb/Pryd and there's generally not been much problems there and I had a short spell on Hib/Pryd where I found it very difficult to find anyone to talk to/bash with etc.

At the end of the day it's all down to personal experiences, no one realm/server is worse than another, every one has its total and utter wankers

There is also the possiblity that the fault is with the person himself and not with the general population of that realm, have met people that allways complain about how it is hard to find this n that get money items etc, how no one helps them and they are left all alone,,

These are generally the type of people that get upset when a group of 44+ doesnt want to invite his 28 kobbie warrior, because that would gimp the entire group for the sake of one unknown person, and also goes on to whine about how he is poor because it costs so much to buy Black Dye!!!!!!!!!!!!! and they often have problem on whatever server/realm they play.

Ok - there can be a huge difference to the general attitude on different servers/realms.

I started playing this game 2 years ago, on the US servers. People there were extremely nice, especially the japaneese. Then a year ago I went to Excal/Mid. Most ppl are quite nice, but there's also a huge difference to how the game is played. I never before experienced that following a grp in RvR would result in a "fuck off". The co-ordination between guilds and alliances worked a lot better on the US server. Then I tried to play Pryd/Alb - first time I ever experienced a total lack of respecting a camped spot. It happened almost every day and everywhere that your group had a spot camped, and after a while another grp came and camped the same spot.

I've been in Sweden a couple of times and people are very friendly there.

and IMO they're the nicest ppl i've ever had the pleasure of grouping with,

Never had a problem with /gu language, was always english if they knew one of the english members was on, (and how many english guids can boast the same about french/dutch/swedish members?

yes there are little kids on the server, unfortunately, they give the wrong impressions sometimes. but most of time ppl are friendly, and make a good impression.

I've played all 3 excal realms.

Alb was my first, and I noticed a lot of 'rude' players from lvl 1 to 50 and in RvR as well. A lot of spanish people who could speak english at one minute and then not at the next minute.

Hib was my second. I noticed a lot of friendly people at the low and mid lvls and then when you start playing with the 'older kids' you get a lot of rude people. RvR can be hectic when it comes to rude people as well.

Mid is my 3rd. So far I've only gotten nice people, tho I'm sure it will change as I lvl, it is after all a semi large community and you can't avoid assholes.

Out of all 3 realms I'd say;
Alb, very selfish rude people who only play with those they know very well and fuck all else. Also very loot horny.
Hib, seemingly friendly but rude when it suits them, very loot horny and self serving.
Mid, not been here long enough to pass judgement, call me in 6 months.
