I have a friend (yes, some people can put up with me) who wants to get into either Interior Design or Architecture.

What courses are available or things they can do to better their chances. I dont think they want to do a 7 year course lol, but we did not know how to best approach it.

They'd like a job in either field, but getting some sort of course under their belt would be great.

p.s. anywhere North of london is no good :(

Ok! I just recently got a job in Architecture, and my dad does basically the same.

The best way is to do a Day-Release college course and work the rest of the time, this gives you a better experience because you have on the job experience and you are most certainly more employable :)

Program's you might want to consider learning

Autocad
Autodesk
Spec Writer

Although these can be expensive..

Be prepare also to maybe not be payed for working for a few months whilst you learn.

Thats a rough bit about it!
