Applying album art.

Right, I'm getting album art from the net and saving it to my pictures folder. I then go to WMP 10 and edit the track so it uses that album art. But it doesn't want to show it. I restart WMP10 etc but the album art isn't sticking and I have no idea why and I'm close to tears

Any ideas?

Possibly the version of the ID3 tag of your file. Needs to be a minmum version of ID3 2.3 iirc. It depends on whether Media Player automatically upgrades the tag version.

If it doesn't work, import your library into iTunes and use that to set the artwork. The images are saved into the files so it'll work in Media Player as well (or at least, it should do. I has in the past for me).

If you fall back on iTunes, choose Edit -> Show Artwork, then just select the songs or the whole album and drag the desired artwork onto the placeholder in the corner. Easy as.
