Question Appdynamics experts?

So, say you've a vendor with no experience of appdynamics. They've written substantial amounts of code in C++.

How easy is it for them to retrofit support for the full Appdynamics functionality into their code?


Not talking infra monitoring. I'm talking the application binaries?

Each process / transaction that you want to be monitored in AppDynamics will need to be enclosed in a beginning and end statement. You then pass on the handle from the begin statement to other similarly enclosed processes, and AppDynamics can monitor the flow of the handles generated throughout the system. How easy it will be, depends on exactly what you want monitored.

Disclaimer: I am not an AppDynamics expert, but we use it at work for monitoring systems processing large numbers of transactions.
