Why is it okay for realms to relic raid at 4 am during working periods, but not during holidays?

Hell if it is wrong to relic raid during christmas then people shouldn't be playing DAOC either. Go light a candle in church or something.

if you havent sat inside the only friendly keep, in enemy frontiers, holding their last relic, as they were beating on the doors, with only you and a few thrusty assasins besides you... you havent seen everything relic raids can do...

daaaamn, give relic to friend? (if he gets killed its your butt on the line)
daaaamn, rush out the back... naa you can see arrows flying that way....

call for backup in command cg!.... wait.... wait.... 20 minutes gone by... wait? take a chance? outter keep door down.. second door down to 20%... ok, charge out the side of the keeps with your friendly shades..

get mezzed...... phew have an enemy infil break mezz and him getting slaughtered... run run run...

relic raids means alot for everyone on the server, and relic raids are the ultimate source for excitement.. some might blabber before they should, some might be spying, relic raids in prime time are near to impossible, and should be respected as the ultimate acomplisment.

there is never 1 reason why a relic changes hands, there are always actions of several full groups to thank. If everything was optimal, relic raids would be in primetime, with the enemy knowing.. stealing a relic would be the result of masterfull strategy, loads of siegemanship etc.

to date i have never seen a raid where the attackers forcefully used offensive weapons other than rams. (DAoC still have alot in store for most of us)

it wanst a 4am raid, it was a raid that started at about 12 and 1am we started bashing the doors, would have gone much faster if we had brought enough rams

and then we tried again a bit later but then most people had lagged off or gone to bed, somehow the group with rams never put em up... so we eventually died =)
