The real absolutely key thing seemed to be the noone getting killed bit, since apparently people dieing is what causes the adds.

Worth spending some time before you trigger the encounter checking every group has a proper cleric, and that any level 12s along for the ride have been told to sit the fuck down in a corner.

As for the Longbow and Bane - they didn't drop, afaik.

Don't know how true that is since i accidentally sort of, in a way, kind of let someone in my group die. That was only about 10 seconds before apoc died though and it wasn't apoc who killed him if that makes a difference

Reason it went so well is because I was there at level 42. Raid would have failed without me and the other 40-44 we brought along. All 6 of us. Oh I suppose the other 90 odd 45-50 that tagged along in front of our uber group might have helped a little bit, but not much.
