Apache Problem

I have installed setup but the default URL to show intranet site is
http://localhost

I need it to be http://TSLi

In the httpd.conf file i changed
servername localhost

to

servername tsli

and it still diddnt work.

If anyone can help its much appreciated.

If its windows, good luck !

If it's unix, a vhost entry to httpd.conf and a slight modification of /etc/hosts should suffice, if you have a private dns server, all the better !

a workaround is to find your "hosts" file in your windows directory

(do a find files) under 2000 / XP the file is in

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

and is called "hosts"

make a backup and then edit it..

add the line

127.0.0.1 TSLi

to the bottom of the file

NOTE: this will only work for the client machines to hit the server, it wont make a damn bit of difference if you modify it on the server

Alternatively make sure that the servers name is set to TSLi in the networking properties of the machine.
