AoE 3 crashing?

seems its got a few excellent bugs in it that cause general crashes etc, spent a few hours sorting it so its playable, just about, thought id post this here for anyone else who maybe having probs cos it appears quite widespread...

I've gievn up trying to install it. Their software is shit, their support is shit, their attitude is shit.
Avoid.

Although with proto-yanks rather than minotaurs I'm less tempted :/

My brother could install it, but he can't patch the thing.
The patch gets to 6% then just freezeing or a error comes up.

Ah well, least he can play single player.
