daoc isnt a 64bit program so it wouldnt really gain anything from the operating system.

i am aware it isnt 64bit but i was just wondering if it will run, and i am interested to know how system performance differs running two ac's on the same pc, as the x64 operating system is meant to be uber in regards to demanding multi-tasking

The 64bit sheduler is supposed to be much more effiecent than the XP 32bit sheduler so multitasking should be smoother.

Look at https://forums.freddyshouse.com/showthread.php?t=56475&highlight=windows

The suggestion is that although the framerates of DAOC might not increase itself - the rest of the pc has a lot more power available to do other stuff (like running a second account).

great thanks for that, was really useful, that thread answerd my question for me, *runs down road to pick up my copy of x64* ... after i check my hardware compatibility of course. thanks guys/gals

Also make sure your modem has 64 bit drivers available as many don't, this has been the only thing preventing me from using xp64 for months :(
