i can understand you tho, since we archers hardly use the bow unless we play the "leeching" style. hope this will change after patch

Well no i am just curious, i actually like my bow, would just like to know if the damage output would be equal to a BM's with the obvious advantage of having stealth and truesight

around 25 i think which wouldnt be much good against other stealthers but would be nice vs non-stealthers besides truesight would be great in a group situation.

would you get groups tho ? i mean , with TS u can pop stealthers etc, 25 stealth with a max of +20 (items rr10) still puts u with a disability , deems solo useless i`d stick with highers stealth and bow , and use the archer lurve in 1.62

one interessting spec for rr6 is

34 stealth = 50
50 pierce = 66
29 cd = 45
36 path

max weaponskill, second best dmg add, best stealth and almost cap offhand swing % (cd doesnt give additional weaponskill).

50/50 with 25 stealth would be BM with TS, but think about it, BM's have parry, rangers dont.

imo parry > TS + stealth

why would a ranger want to go 50 cd? the 44 and lvl 50 styles are useless for soloing, and with 39 cd you can cap the offhand swing % at rr0 (+11 from sc)

50pierc/50cd will not be a BM with TS as a BM is on tank calc and ranger is in stalker calcs.
Same as a NS will not do same dmg as BM with that spec

(or swap Wep - CD around)

Go Celt - Blades and I think the dmg would be pretty good tbh (dmg add would make up for being on stalker dmg tables) - get a friendly NS to keep poisoning ur weps and after getting IP you have a assasin killer

As the offhand swing % doesn't have a cap I'd like to know where you get your information?

FYI Celtic Dual spec does 2 things

1 - chance to swing offhand weapon starting at a base of 25% and adding approx .68 % per level.

2 - higher spec = lower variance when using spec line styles just like with any other weapon spec.

So a ranger with 50CD (+11 from items and +4 from RR) would swing their offhand 25% + (65 x .68) = 69.2%.

Hrm, am i bugged when i hit for 60 styled ?

I dont think speccing melee help very much, im 39 pierc and hit for 60 damage using styles. A ranger in my guild have 30 blade and kill me very easy (celt). Feels like all we rangers can do is hope the one we shooting at is afk so he/she wont come and melee us down. Lost in melee against people with 20-30% hp left and I have used IP.

Stealth, TS and self damage add don't make up for expensive purge/ip, lack of det, lack of flurry/charge/tw/parry, lack of ~500 extra hp buffed, lack of ~400 weaponskill buffed and the base damage difference. Not even mentioning the increased bleed effect for bm's only.

cjkace, you sure there isnt a % cap at 50 cd spec total?

anyway, going high cd for styles when you got perfectly fine styles in pierce line is a bit of waste imo

will be my spec as soon as i get a respec stone, cuz bloody mythic only givs single line respecs while everyone needs atleast 2lines to get sorted

anyway, thought bout melee rangers aswell, should def be celt.

still don't think it could work out to be good.
would be nice if someone could get some official about if CD can be capped on not
