just got stopped by cops this night:p
was driving pirate taxi:p and plus I was speeding before I met the cops.
in about 110km/t
slowed down to 80 again. and then when I came over the bridge, I saw a bunch of people standing in the round about, set my highbeams on, and I saw their suit were shining back, and I'm like, oh fucking shit! slowed real down fast, and had in mind just doing a U turn in the road:p but I couldnt...
so I just tryed to look chill while comming down to them, and there is an officer moving in the middle of the road pointing to the side etc,
so I stopped, shivering and talking backwards like, ohoomamee hi mates....
diddidi didid idididi I do anything wrong?
your drivers licence please...
" thinking " FUCKING piece of SHIT YOU SON OF A COCK MUNCHER! "
my epeenis was like pointing down instead of around the world then:<
they came with this mouth piece and a alcometer,
and they are like, you blow!
so I blew on that alco metre, till that beeping stops...
and they are looking at me, while I'm sitting there looking back at them smiling:p

have a GOOD FUCKING NIGHT MATE!!!!!!!!
0.0 % alcohol!
I'm like. have a good mornightafternoon!
they loved scaring the shit out of me...
I had problems starting the car after that, bet you I almost wet my pants!

happend to anyone?
this was my first time.

happened to me once. I was dedicated driver at a party, so i only drank 2 beers that night. The first turn on the road cops pulled me over and got me blowing in that infernal machine of theirs. Luckily i passed, but MY GOD i almost crapped myself :)

Just don't drink at all when you drive, and you have nothing to worry about :p

One of my mates had a Skyline and was doing over 150 mph which is something like 210km, he got caught by a mobile police speed trap but the speed trap only caught him doing 105 not 150mph which was his actual speed.

All he got was £600 fine and a 6 month ban.

He got lucky tbh, but he should of atleast got 2 year ban coz he drove like an idiot.

Happens to everyone sooner or later... and it's perfectly natural to be nervous about it, especially when you have rotten eggs in the basket, even if it's a different basket than the one they are controlling

I have no pity for drink driver's should get longer bans imo.

No idea where you come from, but at least in Norway, the consequences for stuff like that is already pretty hefty

I totally agree tho, drinking and driving is among the more irresponsible things you can possibly do as an adult. Right after having kids.

Here in Norway we have one of the most strict rules in the world towards DWI.
If you just take like 3-4 sips from a 4.7 beer can/bottle, you're out. The amount of alcohol you can have in your blood is 0.2, which is like 1/3 of what you can in, say, USA.

Well that's a debatable truth... granted, the official "limit" is 0.02%, but you only get a simple ticket (just like for minor speeding etc) for anything below 0.05

The general level of punishment for speeding and other traffic offenses are insane over here tho. A typical speeding ticket is anywhere from twice to 2-3x the level of most other european countries

Well speeding on a freeway or whatever where the limit is 80 and u drive at 110 isnt that much of a biggy, ofc it is for the police and that's why there are laws. But if you had told a tale about drunk driving I'd sniff up whoever you are in Norway and turn you in to the cops just for the principle of it, because that is one of the worst and most stupid things one can ever do.
A friend of mine was drunkdriving at newyears eve a few years back, noone noticed he took off with 3-4 other friends - driving them home. Thank god nothing happened until he was driving home himself when he couldnt handle a turn and smashed into a tree. At that point he should have been dead. He got picked up by an old couple before the cops arrived so he avoided over a month in jail aswell and permanent removal of drivers license. He has learned from that and he had to pay his father 60k NOK / £5000 for the damages on the car out of his own pocket, so I don't pity him on that.

If you read my previous posts in this topic, you'd know why I used speeding as an example of too high penalties, and not drunk driving. Because there is no such thing as a penalty too harsh for that particular offense.

My personal record is getting stopped by cops 3 times on a one day. All the time I was driving around safe, but it just happened to be I drove straight to their check-up points.

'Twas funny to give the officer drivers licence for checking before he even asked for it and tell him it was the 3rd time by the day :D The expression on his face was somewhat priceless :D

I recon many people have done it in a time of irresponsible behavour. I know I've been a tiny bit intoxicated once while in a car, I only drove 400m back and forth to school in the middle of the night though. But real issue was I didnt even have a licence.

I kinda slapped myself in the morning cause I did got talekd into it by friend. =( Nothing I'm proud of, and I'll never do it again unless ofc my own or someone who is dear to me's life is at stake.

Just some personal thoughts And I agree to 100% that drunken drivers should be bitchslapped into oblivion.

The phrase "drink driving" makes me twitch because it sounds like bad grammar (OH NO!). Say drunk driving !

Anyhow... this morning I avoided a $600 ticket or so :D
I was driving in a residential area, but on an overpass over the freeway and it's 30mph there but it's the only place to pass on that road for ages... so ppl go like 70mph++ to pass. Well I was passing the guy in front of me at like 50mph and in front of us a Lexus was passing another car at a very very fast speed. As soon as we got off the overpass a police car pulled behind me with his lights flashing :(

I thought oh shit...I am in a school zone too... I probably will even have to go to court...my insurance will go up loads...

But I pulled over like a good little citizen... and he passed me! And he pulled over the silver Lexus SUV! Yay! Mr. Lexus can afford that ticket and increased insuance. I cant! For once I was glad to have only a shitty Honda, but only for a moment ^^

Been stopped once that was because my exhaust was too loud but not been done for speeding yet and over the last couple of months ive been sticking to the limit because i know alot of people who got ban's and stuff and they needed their cars for work so it right fucked them over.

Speeding not worth it tbh lots of unmarked cop cars around Nottingham.

Well luckily in .dk u can drink abit more when driving. Well neways dont feel intoxicated after 2 beers, neither do the coppers detect it.

I got caught in my Scooby (Subaru).... done for an average of 101mph on a 70mph dual carriage way. Went to court - 6points and £270 fine. Paid as I left, thanks very much yer 'onna!

Usually (as the officer said) - you get a short ban for anything over 93 (or was it 97) - anyways the only reason I was treated as lightly as I was is that I'm a contractor (working for my self) and was working 1.5hrs aways from home and needed my car for my work.

Lessons I learned? pay attention to the potential cop sitting on round about's on top of duel carriage ways.
