Um, does a game have to be realistic to be good? And the multiplayer test rules.

Well thats what most games developers aim for in their games so I suppose it must be important

Yer joking! No games are realistic*, particularly not RtCW. It's just good fun. Mind you, Allied Assault looks and sounds a lot better and there's due to be a multiplayer demo released end of December. W00t!

* Except OpFlash. I too, want the Red Hammer add-on

Guess they kinda missed what they were aiming for with the Mario and Sonic games then.

It seems everybodys going down this "lets release a multiplayer demo" road, not that there's anything atall wrong with that.

Why can't I get hold of a preview movie for allied assault? I've checked several sites and they lead to a can't find web page screen.

Back to the topic of the thread, I've never played any of the civ games, are they any good?

I think you'll find that MOST games developers concentrate on fiction, as MORE THAN MOST games released are UNREALISTIC

Have you ever read an interview with a games designer "We try to make this game as realistic as possible" I'm talking about games like operation flashpoint, and medal of honour. Most games are based around something fiction but try to make the experience as real as possible. Thats what they aim to achieve.

Your still wrong. There are more unrealistic games than there are realistic.

I'm not saying they are realistic, I'm saying they try to make them realistic but often fail miserably, anyway end of discussion, can somebody tell me if the civilisation games are any good?

Already mentioned this elsewhere but I'm not sure I'll play this that much. Civ took at faaaaaaaaaaaar too much of my time, which was OK cos I was a student then. I don't have 3 weeks to spare no more :(

w00tage! I am back. And to celebrate I thought I would give you guys a good talkin to - Civ III looks great. Do NOT skit, it looks to be the best turn-based strategy ever. Not only is the diplomacy excellent and the AI unbelieveable but they have actually managed to get the graphics up to the standard required, very difficult for a turn-based game
