Looks like the place I work will be merging/relocating up to the Leicester area at some point next year, anyone know the area at all, the places to live and the places to avoid

Checked upmystreet.com which kinda puts a dull light on Leicester with higher than average crime reports.

At the moment Loughborough looks like a possibility.

Used to do wheelclamping in Leicester, nice place. Alot of differnt cultures, which can sometimes (in Leicester's case) be bad for the community.

Used to drink in a place called The Quay right in the town centre, very nice atmosphere during the week. Kinda' hectic friday/saturday though, but check it out. Take your GF, very nice place to drink in.

Plus the babes behind the bar are to die for.

theres a large amount of "ethnics" and illegal immigrants in leicester. Thats why the crime rate is high in certain ghettos.
