If talking about relationships, playing games usually imples the following;

- Doing some preset thing to achieve X. "Nice shoes, wanna f*ck?"
- Doing a industry standard dating move, such as not calling to get a reaction.
- Trying to influence the other persons mind via trickery and silly stunts, to own benefit.
- Playing the "dating game" and going by the rules; "I'll wait thrree days to call, because that's how long jesus would wait."
- etc.

This is quite a standard around the world, it's hard to define with one line, i personally can't stand ANY games(yeah... good luck :p) and it could ofcourse mean something completely different on that lil island.

I live in Essex. Don't really think what you posted is slang. I thought its generally used all over the country.

Does it not just mean whether she's into something or up for it?

I.e - I'm game for that = i'd like to do that tristram

or I don't play that game = keep your grimey cock away from me tristram

saying "i play x and y game but not z game" or "what games are we playing" or "im playing the x game" is not something i am familiar with. its not just relating to flirty type acitivies, she says it all the time about anything.

can you expand on it, as i think you know all about the phrase :)

Sounds like she wants to know if you're going to be a fuck buddy or something serious. If you told her to put the kettle on and she says "I'm not playing that game" I'd guess it means I'm not that type of beehatch, fo shizzle my nizzle dizzle with the rizzle razzle d o double g nate dawg mother fucker fo rizzle.

If you are still not convinced send her a text with the following.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU GOING ON ABOUT WOMAN!? IF YOU DON'T SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT WHAT GAME YOU'RE PLAYING I'LL LAMP YOU WITH THE KETTLE!"

Job done.

I don't do house calls, I don't play that game but I do play the old skool game.

Give me more examples and don't x y z them and can maybe help a bit more.

FOR SHITS SAKE im saying it is not just in relation to flirty type things, there is a few people down here who use it in every day language. like "im not playing the dinner game" as if to suggest they going for a dinner break or "im playing the water game and not the coffee game"

so no, no ones post was too cryptic but you all seem to be focusing it on sex and stuff! yes in this instance there has been a cross over of playing some fucking game in a more personal capacity but it should still mean the same thing given its every day use.

games = kind of a set plan.

I dont play that dating game = I dont do dinner and a movie
I have to do that dinner game = I have dinner with the parents (or similar)

I have friends who use the word like that but its more urban slang than essex slang

Fair enough, your post doesn't really convey that she uses it in every aspect of life though ;)

The post sounded like she was using the regular "i don't do dating games" thing.

"I don't play that game" might mean that she's not interested in you or even that she's a lesbian.

she has explicitly stated she wants to play some games together. i honestly didnt know if she was refering to monopoly, sport or what.
she was talking to her friend about the chimy changa game, and turns out chimy changa is actually a fucking restraunt. do you see why i dont understand? its like putting a random subject in between the words play and game.

Just start taking the piss and hope that it slows down her use of the word. It seems as though she's attached the word to any 'doing' phrase which sounds as irritable as adding 'like' in sentences randomly which if you view in a literal fashion, also makes no sense whatsoever.

If you don't understand it, be glad; it sounds pretty 'special' to me... ;)

she cant be that retarded, shes got a LLB! i guess its just one of those things. up north we talk proper we do man, and i usually slip in to adding like on to the end of sentances if i am round other north scummers like. im trying to curb it now like, realising that down south no one else says it and you sound like a damn idiot man.

like.

ask ez, i remember i had a phone convo with her some time ago and all she took from it was 'like' and 'right'
