Just wondering if anyone is into the old MMA scene on here?
Tito and Ken are fighting tonight, UFC 64 over the weekend, Cage Rage 18 just been , lotsa good MMA stuff about atm - I wonder where MMA will leave boxing in the next 10yrs or so?

Might have to stay up and try n catch the fight online tonight methinks....

How many times does the "huntington bad boy" have to kick Shamrocks ass?. Surely Shamrock is getting bored of getting twatted by Ortiz?

Hmmm from Tito's point of view tho - would you ever get bored of dropping elbows on Ken?

I just hope Ken doesnt get a lucky haymaker in and spark Tito - I couldnt bear seeing his smug face parading around the UFC again...

Sooo hoping I can catch it online tonight otherwise will have to download it first thing in the morning as I gotsa know if Tito does the business :)

Jason correct that fucking sentence, have you ever looked at boxing gloves compared to the gloves in the UFC?

Never watched boxing, Sam. =D - I said UFC was more violent, not boxing (Incase you didn't understand it)

EDIT: Seems.

"Might take over boxing, a lot more violent. =D (Hense better)". That really implies boxing is more violent :(

Only MMA i've been introduced to was by an aquaintaince who happens to be a female cage fighter here in the UK. Dunno if you've heard of Rosi Sexton but she 's good, i wouldn't want to fight her :p good teacher too.

Must admit I don't know a lot about the female MMA fighters tbh, though would rather watch female MMA I think than female boxing tbh..

3 Hours from now Ken gonna get his ass handed to him ... I cant wait :D better be able to sort out a live stream or I am just gonna have to go to bed and drop some elbows on teh missus in frustration !!

Oh well, no surprises.

Guess this setsup Ortiz vs Lidell, but lidell will whip him in about a minute. Liddell is the most complete fighter in UFC at the moment. IMO ofc

I agree but would like to see Tito take him - just to freshen it up , watch Tito trying to hold onto the belt - probably be harder for him thatn Chuck simply due to different type of fighter - more likely to go a few rounds. Plus the added bonus of either Chuck ripping up loads of 1/2 decent 205'ers or moving up to heavyweight and dropping some bombs there.

I know what you mean. Chuck has a great takedown defence and thats Tito's only hope of pounding him, but I just don't know if he will be able to manhandle him enough - maybe some kicks etc but I think of all the 205'ers Tito probably has got one of the best chances of taking Chuck out but not if he does what everyone else seems to do and just stands there trying to go toe to toe with Chuck.. Babalu surprised me in that respect - I thought he would just keep shooting at Chuck til he got him down but someone must have told him he punched like Mike Tyson or something the way he stood there swinging back at Chuck...

If Tito manages to stay away from Chucks punching and gets some grappling/takedown attempts going then maybe just maybe he has a chance (I think I am trying to convince myself of this!)

Will be in the States on Dec 30th so might have to PPV up and get me some beers in :)

A plucky victory over Patrick Cote (now in Ultimate Fighter 4 series), a points win against Forrest Griffin (where Griffin dominated late on) followed by two takedowns of a 40 odd year old retiree. Thats not what you need as a step up to fighting the best fighter in that weight division by a country mile

Aye I thought Tito was lucky against Griffin ... the only thing going for Tito was the fight he had with Belfort at UFC 51? watched it the other night - Belfort hit Tito with a few awesome shots in the 2nd and Tito took them - and also managed to survive some GnP from Belfort... thats not to say he will be able to take an onslaught from Chuck but maybe after the first Chuck fight he has learned a bit more ... still if Chuck catches him its all over... but I do wonder if Chuck is getting a bit cocky these days and will stroll into the fight thinking he only has to lamp Tito to win - if he takes that attitude then I think Tito has a fair chance.

You remember the 1st fight of Randy Culture v Chuck L? That's how its going to go for Tito in December imo :england:

Did anyone actually watch the 2 hours or just the Tito fight? I thought the 3 other fights were awesome and the fact that TUF 3 was my favourite out of the 4.

UFC 64 on tonight for 3 hours on Bravo :)
