get some diamonds or saphire's and get a df suit.
it rocks in bg with purple armour tho)
try an weapon crafter to get a good shield and weapon
and let is spell craft it for the last finishing touch.
dd for lvl 20 - 25 -30 -35 are pretty cewl in bg.

Think I'll just transfer some gold and start crafting ..again.. SC'd player made gear >>>> DF gear
