I just bought a new comp, and im having weird problems in daoc, it seems to be daoc only aswell, so its annoying.

I log in, i run around some, in agramon or so.
10 sec, sometimes 10min into the session the char runs backwards in like speed1000, some gfx bugs and then INSTA ld, no red loss, ping nothing.

I have:
athlon64 4400+ dualcore - cpu
sapphire x1900xt - gfx
asus A8R32-MVP deluxe - motherboard

anyone else who had problems with any of this? Dunno if its a dualcore issue or what else, ive tried a few things nothing has helped.

Please try the following solution:

1. Get the ATI Catalyst uninstaller from ATI's Utility page: go here and search for "catalyst uninstaller" (using the quotes) and at the bottom of the page click the "CATALYST - Maintenance Utilities" link. The uninstaller link is located there.

2. Get the ATI Catalyst 5.2 drivers from Guru3d here (make sure not to use the "author" link).

3. Run the ATI Catalyst Uninstaller (if it does not prompt you to, please reboot the machine when it is done).

4. Run the ATI Catalyst 5.2 driver installer.

This should allow you to run Darkness Rising and navigate Camelot City without crashing. We have found the Catalyst 5.2 drivers to be the most stable for Darkness Rising.

It's nothing to worry about. Your computer has just learnt how you strafe, and is helping you out.

It has to do with the dual core processor tbh, assuming you dont have crossfire enabled, it hasnt got to do with your ati card. I had some problems with gfx's on random pc's and everything was fixed installing windows 2003, tbh they are so much better than winxp if you use the guide to convert them to workstation. Try that imo and see how it goes...

haven't heard of that kind of problem, but try installing all the Updates for XP

all WinXP SP2 English Updates Pack

get the CPU Drivers from AMD

get the dualcore Hotfix from Microsoft, file is called something like "WindowsXP-KB896256-v3-x86".

Otherwise, check for a possible virus infection.

Try and change gfx driver.

Also you might wanna check CPU/GPU settings and try and clock them downwards.

Only thing I can think of now.

The new Asus A8R32-MVP deluxe had a some problem with gfx, system would "stutter" after few minutes of play. The games would freeze for 5 seconds this would repeat every 5 or so seconds until the system was completely shut down..etc etc, but its solved.
Asus has fixed the issues with the A8R32-MVP Deluxe, BIOS flash to version 0311.

Neod is hapyy now btw :)
