I got a job offer in Dundee Scottland. Anyone from that area around who might be able to give me some tips?
How is the area? Anything I need to know? Do I need a kilt to be accepted? ;)

And a bit more specific: I want to take my cat with me. What are the "rules"? I don´t want to give her into quarantaine or something.

Dundee is actually turning out to be a really nice city. It can be quite lively, and is a pretty cheery place. It's easy to get about in as well, the public transport is well done.

It's really laid back, and has lots of nice towns and villages round about it. I can heartily recommend a village called Broughty Ferry. It's on the banks of the river Tay, has a nice bit of history, good ale, and a 10min bus journey right into the city centre.

Dundee is also Scotland's emerging I.T capital. There's quite a few software houses, and I think the Computing is one of the University's specialities. Hope this helps =)

(I don't live in Dundee, but my dad is just back from a 3 year stint up there, so I spent a bit of time getting to know the place )
