Darwinism, because the idea of some single being creating everything (in the multiverse, we must assume) seems proposterous to me.

While I personally "believe" in darwinism, I would be willing to accept Creationism if someone offered some proof.
The fact that the americans have seen fit to ban it in some states only goes to prove the narrow mindedness of the americans. How can someone make a decision without knowing both sides? the bible tells us God gave us free will, yet they take it away? How is that following the Bible?

I have to say, as someone raised on science, I find not allowing someone to learn a theory that is accepted internationally, because you feel it raises uncomfortable questions about your religion, to be totally unacceptable.

My brother is an uber scientist child, studying bio chemistry, and he says that the people who fear science is trying to disprove God, and that the two can't go hand in hand, are idiots, because the more you look at science the more you think that its all far too intricate, clever and bizarre than to just have happenned by accident.
I have a near pathological hatred of organised religion, and even if someone could prove to me that God existed, which I'm not sold on, it still doesn't automatically follow that I'd worship it. I certainly wouldn't think God exists, and so therefore everything in the bible must ALSO be true, and so ALSO I have to prance about in posh hats every sunday and tutt at people who believe in dinosours and feel guilty everytime I look at porn and have to start helping at jumble sales and smiling too much or else I'll Go To Hell.
Its all a load of bollocks really. Thats my educated opinion. I'd probably know more on the subject but science was never my thing and it was decided it wasn't in the teachers or the other pupils interests if I kept attending R.E. class.

I think its a bit too dangerous to confuse what is now orgonized religion with its soucrce, origins and intentions.
The message of most of the religions (i mean the ones of the book, I dont want to make sweeping generalisation), were not what it has become now.
Christianity is an example, jesus was a prophet, the orgonized church came a bout a while later.

Your hypothosies about scientists becoming pro-creationist is already happening. It's a bizarre reversal of what happened in Darwin's time when religious scientists started doubting the holy scripture version of things.
Although the Pope and Vatican has officially apologised for the persecution of Galileo, it has never actually admitted that he was correct. Subsequently, in these days of enlightenment they still believe the Sun goes round the Earth, now try explaining evolution to these people ...
